But yeah as the other two comments said, it's on a different engine and nothing was changed. Besides Classic Sonic seems to have some physics bugs in this version (can't go through loops without spin dashing).
Modders make physics tweaks all the time to improve how Sonic controls for over a decade, could SEGA not do that? Were that THAT stretched for budget they couldnt have one dude adjust a few things to make it match at least slightly closer to Shadow Gens? I mean i guess they mustve not cared at all if they didnt bother changing the lip flaps and char animations during cutscenes to match the new dialogue. Very sloppy job on the Sonic end of things and thats disappointing.
Although personally I feel like the level geometry is more of an issue, like in sky sanctuary, you can just slide off a platform, or you wont jump for some reason. Just seems a bit inconsistent
OG Gens is still the best 3D Sonic game ever. Maybe Shadow “feels better” because they basically use the Frontiers physics instead of the original’s. It’s more accurate to say it’s the best Shadow has controlled, which isn’t saying much considering his dumpster fire 05 game.
but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ , the physics? terrible.
classic sonic physics are extremely ♥♥♥♥
