Digital Deluxe Edition and mini soundtrack
So I bought Sonic Frontier's Deluxe edition during last sale season and I felt terribly stupid seeing that the artbook and the mini soundtrack are confined within an exe file. How on Earth anybody can think of this as a good idea or practice is way beyond me, but I suppose the mini soundtrack for this game is going to be pretty much the same, so I will not get it since the OST is pretty much its main attractive for me.

I would love to know if this will not be the case but if it is going to be, at the very least I would like to prevent anyone to make the same mistake I did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

im guessing the music can be taken out and the .exe file is just a mini custom player.

As far as I know, you can extract the audio files from the exe in the Sonic Frontiers edition as well, but the files are not there to be moved as if you would have purchased any normal soundtrack. So is not really an easy solution. And one would assume files are not meant to be extracted.

The soundtrack can NOT be exported in this game. It does NOT come in a separate soundtrack list in your steam library, it does NOT come in the local files, it is in a miniplayer you launch from the steam library page and in the games collection room, there is NO OPTION to export the songs as of yet

The steam store advertised it as the soundtrack, not mini soundtrack. I only got deluxe for the music, and I'm very angry over what was given. Most of the music there isn't from the game, none of the game music is in there, it has very few songs, and it's all locked behind software to play it. This is nasty on a level I was not prepared for.

They've been pulling this crap for years. Guess they can't afford to lose music sales afterwards.
