Buy Sonic Generations Collection instead
https://store.steampowered.com/app/71340/Sonic_Generations_Collection/ Thank me later.

It’s gonna be delisted soon… ugh

This one has so much mod support and a lesser price tag. It might be delisted so Sega can try to get you to buy the new one

"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" (Sega now)

Best to get it soon, as it might disappear before Sonic X Shadow Generations.

I want Shadow 1.5, that's really why I want this new rerelease.

It's not just levels, it's entirely new gameplay with different movement and physics.

sonic x shadow generations is an entirely new game and theres new content like the lost chao missions in the remaster and yeah the mods are cool but look at frontiers, no doubt every charcater will get modded in straight away. shadow generations is the next mainline sonic game you cant just not buy it just because the original sonic generations is included(with extra content), that makes it better. if you cant afford it maybe sure get og gens but its just a much better deal if you havent got the original generations yet.

And yet they decided to port/remaster this game instead of Unleashed which deserved the remaster treatment way more. :riddle:

Pretty much, plus I get to have one game with Fem sonic and the other with Shadow, and that also makes me happy instead of having to choose. Shadow with symbiote wings is rad af.

What a hater thread.

OP acts like the new game won't have modding when it will come out.
BTW did you do some research ? This will include new levels and its on the updated Hedgehog Engine.

It's not that the new version won't have modding support or an extensive modding scene as more recent Sonic games on PC have shown, it's that the old version already has an extensive modding scene during the lifetime of its release over a decade ago. We don't need to wait for new mods to be made for the old version whereas we very likely will for the new version.

Frontiers has a more extensive modding scene in less time

Modding has its benefits when you play the vanilla once or twice, and after that you want to mod in to make it feel different. This is mostly a PC privilege.

Console players get what they pay and that's it.
