Prince & late stage demon lands (spoilers)
I was level 391 when I killed him. I used the compound bow and the scientist's arrows that cost 50c a piece. There is a distinct balance issue in the demon lands, however, as the level preceding the prince are much more difficult than the two following him. I was wearing the Carapean (sp?) crit gear.

Each of my melee, ranged, and magic skills were level 100+. My "level" grind was on the spider map in the demon lands. At a certain point, you can melee with crit very fast here (or use the slingshot dropped by the child demon mob) and the exp pours in along with another distinct advantage for loot space. Since the spiders only drop silk and a single pair of pants, you do not lose out on lost drops due to space. Every so often a trip to town nets 200K+ in money and since you aren't using any arrows, it's all gains. Before demon lands grinding, I was meleeing on the map 1 spot to the right of the pirate ship, same strategy but it's also a good magic leveling spot since the fairy will use the magic food that drops from these mobs. Inventory will fill up faster here though since the loot pool is larger.

I'll digress for a second and say that the quantity of time necessary to grind out the levels to make these fights are viable is not commensurate with the end-game rewards. Make sure that you are ready to almost entirely reset to essentially square 1 after the map two spaces past prince. There is no warning. You will get a few rewards and reset back to your dad in the cave. For all of my effort, I got the entry level bow and 40 basic arrows; barely enough to effectively kill rats any better than the first few minutes of the game's first play through.

I cant even kill the prince.
well, he is not so hard. First time I kill him on lvl ~341 with range build, you just need to read easiest attack pattern and use magic
Last time I beat him at around lvl 180.
Max out your ice and poison and thunder bolt.
Use ranged.
Use poison on cooldown, eventually skip the 3rd (the last poison).
After he has reached you, try to interrupt his first attack with a well timed thunder bolt, and immediatelly after that use your ice ability.
Try this a few times and you will probably beat him at lvl 200+.

What i did was using the ice spell right at his first acceleration boost, if playing on range (with bought arrows and either the 8 range bow or 7 scientist bow) - it expires before he can make use of it and save up the thunder bolt for his 2nd boost. It might not actually work if you haven't invested enough into movement speed, as movement speed counters enemies movement speed. What i'm more worried about is the achievement for clear 1 run without using magic.
