You can try farming some of those 'high health consumables' at the graveyard. I did a no-spell run while obtaining 7 from there, using long bow and sharp arrows and just kept potion usage on automatic. That was on 12 dark points tho.. so you might need a few more of those potions or use longbow + max range arrows and start battle with Thunderbolt, but don't use any other spells until he slowed you. (The more points you invested in movement speed - the higher the chance to use thunderbolt before he acts and thus inflicing a lot of extra damage due to early slow-prevention)

You should have around 2400 hp (as that is around the hp requirement on bow + carapean set for his next quest)
