High-level spell setups

So I'm in Chapter 5, and besides the Luck/Fortune Quartz I think just about every quartz in the game should be available. (I could be very wrong; let me know if I am.) Does anyone have any suggestions yet for how to set up the high-level spells, like Zodiac and Cocytus for example?

You will have a hard time getting the right combos for the late game spells until chapters 8 and 9.

I know I got Zodiac once with Kloe, but I was trying to get Cocytus and erased the spell without memorizing the combination I used

There's still a good number of quartz that you haven't seen yet. Without them it will be difficult to get the high-tier spells without damaging your entire party setup.

The only advice I can offer you is that you shouldn't go for most of the high level spells, because they tend to be completely inefficient, doing maybe 10-20% more damage than your low level spells while taking double the amount of time to cast and a huge chunk of EP. Zodiac is also pretty bad as the DEF boost is not really necessary or helpful most of the time, but it''s really hard to assemble and will take up too many slots for most characters to assemble without sacrificing all important things like Action and Cast, and 240 EP is just completely ridiculous.

The only high level spell I can really recommend at this point is Death Scream, since it's a full screen attack that's actually reasonable to assemble - Action 4, EP Cut 4 and EP 4 will get you that, and the former two are quartz that art users want to equip anyways.

Also, the use of death scream on the multiple poms encounters basically breaks the game

Zodiac's easy enough to get, but most characters will need to use some normally suboptimal stuff like EP4 and a gimmicky multi-element quartz or two.

For Estelle: EP4 in the center, then line 1 has Septium Vein, Absorb, and either Attack 4 or Ingenuity. Line 2 gets Cast 2, Action 4, EP Cut 4 for Death Scream.
