Is SC significantly shorter than FC?

I've spent about 33 hours so far on the game and only just finished chapter 2... I was going about that rate in FC, and SC is supposed to be about twice as many chapters, so I'd say it's considerably longer with the way I play, at least.

If you ignore the sidequests, each chapter should be shorter than their counterparts in FC. If you look at the scenario books for FC and SC, you'll see that the SC chapters tend to have less text in the main story than the FC ones; there are just more chapters in SC, which makes it the longer game.

i just started chapter 6 and i'm 35 hours in. so SC is definitely longer at the very least.

SC is about 70 hours without taking into account 100% completion. FC is like 40, 50 at most.

Unlikely since your achievement only shows prologue and chapter 1... If you cheat or use others saves, oh well, hypocrite much.

I find that impossible unless your not doing the side quests. Even so the prolouge and the first chapter i have 12 hours on the game and thats talking to most people i see as well.Your profile says you only completed the first two chapters so i cant see you being on chapter 4 .

If you must know, I spent the last several days in DC, and only had my laptop to play on--which doesn't have working wifi. So, yeah: as almost anyone who thinks about it for more than a half second, Steam is not an accurate metric for the measurement of... anything.

Anyway: I'm glad to hear it's 9 chapters. Getting to chapter 4 took about 30 hours, most of which was spent wandering around finishing all of the quests. I assumed it had the same chapter count as FC, in which case, yeah, it would have been really short barring a bloated final chapter.

chapters like 5, maybe even chapter 4, were short, but the rest were good length, if not longer

My final time in FC was like 33 hours, completing all sidequests.

My final time in SC completing next-to-no sidequests was 40 hours.
