Are we reading the same post I wrote? Because it seems you're missing that I already said that Olivier has the best orbment in FC, but that aside he was not that much good as other characters. I didn't say that Tita and Olivier were useless, in the end in this game you can win without any problem with whoever you want, but still it doesn't change the fact that characters like Agate and Schera are still more good than Tita.
Yes, Olivier has a craft that heals the party but with only 800HP in FC, and unless it's a critical turn and you really need to heal your party ASAP is not worth it, why bother in spending his CP when you've La Teara? and you'll almost never use his remaining crafts because he doesn't have much ATK, unless you're fighting against a boss that you want to cancel his arts (and aside from the battle against Lorence there's not really much use there in FC), and ONLY his arts, because in FC it doesn't serve to cancel crafts as well, that's normally your top priority.
Again, yes, Tita is useful against many enemies at once, but she's not the best choice when it comes to fight against bosses, even if you give her the Defense quartz which is mandatory. I think that a character being more useful against bosses than with normal monsters if of course more important in the end, and again, I'm not saying like, is impossible to beat bosses with her around or something of the sort, just that other characters are more suitable for that.
Also one thing that nobody seemed to have point out is that Tita's S-craft hits 8 times for sepith turn bonuses, and unlike Pummel/Barrage/Sadist Whip hits a radius 4 circle, It's pretty much the next best thing to Aerial when it comes to milking sepith turn bonus, but unlike Aerial it's an S-craft and requires no turn order manipulation whatsoever to use. Tita's ability to quickly gather CP only adds to that.
2. Put 2 Tiger Hearts on her
3. Put attack and move orbment on her
4. Wipe encounters in one-shot
5. Laugh
P.S. Put orbment for earth wall on her for support
Quite efficient, imo
My apologies on that I should've typed 'useless' as you implied anyone else you could take was "better". But in that regard you can't simply hand wave away a particular characters strengths. Aside from Joshua's insane speed, massive attack stat, high health, Time quartz lock, AoE AT delays and battlefield wide S-craft he's just not that good i'm afraid I consider him the worst /eye roll. There's a difference between *you* having no use for Olivier's physical range attack, instant AoE cp heal, ranged impede, massive ATS stat and best orbment line and noone else finding that useful as all hell. Characters don't work in a vacuum either. It's kind of funny i've been having a bit of trouble fitting Tita in a group that feels just right. She's dropped a few more times then i would've liked and a certain "gotcha" fight at the end of chapter 2 makes her an actual detriment to said fight. In retrospect though, there are definitely things that I could do to completely change that. Schera's been sort of an enigma to me for awhile as well. Before Heaven's Kiss she's a "how the hell am I going to build her?" and after Kiss she becomes a 1-trick pony... and I dislike that. She's a hybrid support she really can go either way based on your play style and by either way I mean offensive physical support, offensive magical support, or defensive magical support. She's been worming her way into my heart of late.
I don't roll with a defense quartz when running Tita and she performs just fine when the player behind her (ie me) isn't being an idiot. As RegalStar said there's plenty of boss fights with adds which means Tita is generally great for them. But even for single boss fights she does all the stuff your support should be doing just as well as the others can (healing/buffing) and personally I consider her placeable AoE instant cp heal "the best" (though you could certainly argue for Kevin's being such). She's a more than viable choice all around.
Lulz that sounds pretty wrecking ball.. i'll have to try it sometime.
Agate/Zane: physical attackers/tanky (low arts)
Kloe/Olivier/Kevin: arts attackers/healers (low physical)
Schera/Estelle/Joshua: jack of all trades (role depends on equipment)
Tita: long range physical attacker/arts support (better arts than Agate/Zane)
the only party member i'm finding really useless is Scherazard.
I can't find a good niche for charazard
for a physical attacker, tita, agate, zane, and joshua are all better. Tita's got best range/AoE, Agate has best damage, Joshua has AT delay, Zane has extreme beef and that super buff to give him huge damage, and OP thunder god kick
and then as an offensive caster, Kloe and Olivier get higher damage
if anyone has any good ideas, lemme know
and btw I use Estelle as a tanky support caster. stack as much defense (and speed) on her as I can and spam buffs and debuffs
That's pretty much what i've done when i took her in my party past chapter 4 :') She's fine overall, she can do everything decently, but i admit i don't use her anymore myself
She works well for me as primary and support caster.
