Bracer Points

I've been looking around online to see if there is a list of how many points you should have at the end of each chapter, and my searches so far have come up empty. I was wondering for those that may have played it in Japanese or are at least more knowledgable about the game, but are some of the sidequests really obscure in generating the maximum amount of BP? Or does the game tell you when something more is needed for the quest rather than just giving you a set of points and leaving you to wonder until the end of the game if you got everything?

To give an example, I don't think normally I would have guessed to take the Sneakers all the way back to the gate in FC for the max BP (keeping this a little vague for spoiler purposes), but it turns out it was necessary. Are any of the quests similar in that you have to go so far out of your way to get the perfect score?

I wanted to ask in advance to try to figure out how thorough I need to be in the quests to try to get the max amount of BP.

ZMMX means a BP guide for Second Chapter, since asking on the Second Chapter forums.

The best place to look would be the Nifty's Japanese Wiki[translate.google.com.au]. There are several other Japanese Wiki's also, however I previously used this one to fill in all the SC/TC content to my English Trails Wiki a year or so back, and it contains pretty much everything apart from quest breakdowns, there are other ones which do that quite well (they also tell you what conversation choices to make)

Note: Rank A (1) needs 380 BP, which is the top rank giving an Aura Guard. As a quick rundown without breaking the BP into individual quests:

Prologue
Main: 2BP (+14 Bonus)
Total: 16BP

Chapter 1
Main: 5BP (+3 Bonus)
Side: 17BP (+6 Bonus)
Total: 31BP

Chapter 2
Main: 8BP (+8 Bonus)
Side: 36BP (+5 Bonus)
Total: 57BP

Chapter 3
Main: 11BP (+11 Bonus)
Side: 25BP (+0 Bonus)
Total: 47BP

Chapter 4
Main: 14BP (+9 Bonus)
Side: 28BP (+2 Bonus)
Total: 53BP

Chapter 5
Main: 16BP (+3 Bonus)

To answer the second part; yes there are still hidden quests alongside side quests, all non-main quests can be missable. There are also ALOT of dialogue choices again, each choice may only offer none, part or full BP along with additional tasks. From what I remember when I completed SC/TC about a year ago last, the BP racks ups really fast around the beginning through dialogue options alone, as the start involves just Estelle and Anelace and so much dialogue.

Just a note for anyone else who's wondering why their total doesn't tally after Chapter 2: this wiki contains at least one erroneous BP award amount. The "Parts Search" quest rewards 2 (+1) BP, rather than the 2 (+2) that's stated in that wiki. So there are 56 BP to be gained in Chapter 2 rather than 57.

Are you sure you're not counting the Ruan quests that are done in Chapter 2 as part of that amount? The chapter starts before you leave Ruan after all. It can all get a bit confusing because the quests show up in the Chapter 1 section of the Bracer Book for some reason.

I have 54 as well at the end of chapter 1.

I can confirm that 54 is the number of total BP *after* the final two quests in Chapter 2 Ruan, *before* leaving for Zeiss.

However, the list is still wrong, as when stepping out of the guild after the cutscene that starts Chapter 2, the Total BP is 47. Before facing the final boss of Chapter 1, I had 39 Total BP, and finishing the main quest gave 8 BP.

So before facing the final boss, you should have *at least* 39 Total BP, assuming you've reported all your assignments, and once Chapter 2 starts you should have a Total BP of 47. Before leaving Ruan, you should have a Total BP of 54.

If anyone knows of a correct list, that'd be great. This is still one of the top results on a search.

Check the Guides on GamesFAQs. The one by Drache The Dork & Berseker Blade and the one by Zennvirus are both complete and correct, AFAIK.
