I have a weird bug

I have a weird bug. It happens in the Cradle Residential Block in the Final Chapter.

Possible Spoilers:
In this residential block you access a computer which indentifies itself as Cradle 35 Municipal Office. Here you are supposed to Reprint a Gospel and the key to doing that is bringing Kloe along and doing a bio Scan, then typing the match as Celeste D. Auslese, but herein lies the problem.....

So basically I am unable to use and manipulate a highlighter on the menu, so essentially I cannot pick and choose an answer. As a result I am stuck at this point in the game unable to move on. I have tried different settings and resoutions but nothing fixes this issue.

My Computer Specs:
OS: Windows 8.1 (64 Bit)
RAM: 16gigs (15.9 usable)
Processor: i5 3.4GHz

I would greatly appreciate help with this issue.

Try the mouse.

yeah, for some reason the controller just doesnt work in that part, i only happen to use the mouse to try anything to get tit to work, and that was the solution, the mouse

I left the game on the title screen and went to sleep a couple of times so subtract like 20-30 hours

This bug really should be fixed. I ran into this problem just now and I was completely stuck. I couldn't even cancel out of the screen where you have to type your name.

So I searched google and this thread came up.

I had no idea I had to use the mouse to become unstuck, because I play with a controller. I might never have figured that out if I didn't read it here or somewhere else on the internet.

And I don't appreciate how this thread spoiled the game for me by giving me the solution to the puzzle even though I didn't want that.

All I wanted was a way not to be stuck due to the bugged interface that causes the controller not to do anything.

Yes but in addition to saving bacon, it also spoils the puzzle for people who didn't want the puzzle to be spoiled.

Just saved me too, luckily it didn’t spoil anything for me as I just button mashed and got out of it and then figured out what I needed to do before coming back and trying again and then looking up what was going on.
