In Chapter 2 :

After "Elmo Village Hotsprings Cave Quest", Check immediately at Guild Board for "Missing Guest" Quest. Go to Kaldia Tunnel --> Kaldia Limestone Cave . And then "KILL ALL" of the penguin on this map , Dont fight the Penguin Boss Until you got 9/10 , Just try to back to another screen if you still didnt get 9/10, and kill again the penguin on the same screen. Check your steam Achivement stats ( in your profile) and then after you got 9/10 , fight the Penguin Boss in the end . You will get 10/10 and then you get the achivement . * I just got the achievement 2 days ago.

And once you're stuck on 9/10, go into the plains and kill a Grass Hopper, because that's obviously a penguin. Duh.

I can confirm that I had 1/10 before even starting that sidequest, so 1 of them is obviously outside the Limestone Cave (probably what sayakai posted).

Figured I'd just add an update; it looks like the removed the "Grass Hopper" error, as there are now only 9 penguins to kill in the achievement.

Sort of. Theres only 9 now, but the Grass Hopper still counts as a penguin. I heard about this previously and checked after first killing one. Penguin de Samba: 1/9

I found this thread when I was searching the web for how to get this Achievement.

I think the original post has some flaws in it because:

A) It is not inclusive of the GOG version, for which it is not possible to see how many penguins got knocked out.

B) The OP implies that the player has to knock out all the penguins before fighting the boss, but actually, that is not so. I beat the boss and then came back, and I still got the Achievement.

The OP may not have intended to imply that, but nevertheless, based on the way it's worded readers of the OP might conclude that it is saying that.
