You have finished SC and know what happens at the end of the game, but for someone who hasn't finished SC then Cold Steel will spoil one of the key plot point in SC. This being the Orbal Shutdown Phenomenon.
PS: Btw, is there a satisfying ending to Trails of cold steel? Or will it be like trails in the sky FC where there will be this huge cliffhanger and i will have to beg my dad to buy it agin to know the end? Does it even finish in the seconds chapter..hope it does, if that's the case... What do you think?
This is about a reveal regarding a major character in Trails in the Sky.
The spoiler is below:
Olivier spends most of Trails in the Sky in hiding who he is- which is Prince Olivert Reise Arnor, one of the sons of Emperor Eugent. This isn't the case in Cold Steel, as he's back in Erebonia, acting officially as the prince. He shows up in the prologue and is flat out introduced as Prince Olivert, instead of Olivier Lenheim. In fact, I can only think of one point in the entirity of the two games (Cold Steel and Cold Steel II) when he uses the name Olivier.
Hell, even the Japanese website for the game lists him as Olivert Reise Arnor, instead of Olivier Lenheim. The last time he was actually called 'Olivier Lenheim' is in Sora no Kiseki the 3rd, simply because the people in the party know him better with that name. Past Sora, he hasn't used the Olivier name once- save for a random sidequest in Ao no Kiseki.
Regardless, the main reason for it is that 1) he can't really hide who he is in Erebonia, since the royal family is well known, and 2) he's no longer hiding and actively working as the prince now.
Yeah, CS ends on a cliffhanger, CS II is confirmed for 2016 and CS III got announced on Japan a few weeks ago. I know it's not what you would like, buuut we have to support this series if we want all the games. They already "skipped" 3, but i guess they'll come back to work on those
I'm still going through SC (starting chapter 6) so CS will be for Feb for me. :)
