Does it launch on Steam Deck?

Does the game launch on Steam Deck although it says that its not supported? Because other unsupported games do not launch at all.

The Steam Deck compatibility ratings on a lot of older XSEED releases haven't been updated since when Proton was still kind of early and didn't work with nearly as many titles.

They absolutely work. At worst you'll have trouble with FMVs on some Proton versions.

Currently going through the game myself on the steam deck and it runs perfectly fine. The opening FMV worked no issue.

I've just finished playing the whole game on Steam Deck. A wonderful 60 hours. The only issue I had was the last 2 cutscenes didn't work so I viewed on Youtube. Otherwise flawless, just don't forget to open launcher and change resolution to 800p.

It works extremely well on the Steam Deck. You can even get yourself some extra battery life for playing on the go, by lowering the processor TDP (I dropeed it down to 8 watts) and lowering GPU speed (I dropped down to 700 mHz.) Works just perfectly and generates less heat, solid at 60FPS.

Good to know. I didn't buy this series simply because the second game was the only game in the entire Legends library listed as Unsupported for Steam Deck. Now its become my next must-buy.

Hopefully Valve will correct this so as not to throw up a red-flagged stone wall to those interested in playing the series in the future.
