Ummm! Ive alreadty solved the entire first chapter already. I actually mention that in my post. Just not since it came out, which was a couple of years ago now. I was going to replay it with my cleared save but the course Im studying is leaving me with very little free time and I just cant spend the time to fully replay the first chapter and still have time to play the second chapter. I remember the ending, I mean how could anyone forget the big reveal about Joshua? I just wanted a recap so that when I start SC I don't miss references to things I might have forgotten. If you check my play time on FC by clicking my profile, it took me 80 hours to finish, Im not going through that again just to brush up, not when I barely have enough time to game at the moment as it is. I'm just going to jump in an hope things come back to me as I play.
Estelle and Joshua start as Junior Bracers and are travelling around Liberl to get the recommendations and be Senior Bracers. Along the way they solve a disspearing Airplane Case (Capua Sky Bandits Case), stop a corrupted Mayor, defeat Evil Penguins, rescue a Prof, win a tournament, stop a Coup, and discover that the Shining Ring, The Aureole, is real, and that said ring is the reason for the coup.
Edit: I probably should have put spoiler tags here but hey, the topic was chapter one summary.
Like wasn't the girl you met at the orphanage and then helped at the school a princess or something? And wasn't everything connected in some grand consipiracy (In fact I think pretty much every crime you solved was backed by some secret illumanti like organization, but I dont really remember who, or what their motives were) It's things like that that Im a little hazy on the exact details of. Everything that Estelle and Joshua do throughout the game seems kind of small fry but in actual fact is all some part of some greater scheme.......the exact nature of which escapes me...... I do remember that Joshua gets his memory back at the end and it's not good and he leaves. But there are so many blanks. Anyway, I'm not going back through the whole game as a refresher, not given how little spare time I get at the moment. I'm just going to jump in and hope it comes back. Oh, and I just remembered the womanizer guy was really a spy for the other side all along, though that wasn't really much of a plot twist, you could see that coming a mile off. If they lampshaded that any more they could have opened a lighting store. I do remember the big boss fight with the robot at the end and something being activated, but I cant remember what or what effect it had.
Kloe. Yup. she is the Princess of Liberl
Believe me when i tell you you haven't seen anything of Olivier yet
It was because the first seal of the Aureole was deactivated. You will get to know much more about that in SC.
Anyway, here are some links that may help you

Thankyou, that was a good refresher
Yeah, I figured that from the way the game ended on such a cliff hanger. You never really found out what the impact dropping the barriers was. This was all good info though, especially the memory jogs about Weismann and his importance. That helps fill in a lot of the memory blanks that come from not playing such a text heavy game in a couple of years ;)
I should be good to go now. Thanks for your help you two, I appreciate it.
Edit: I kind of suck at editing quotes. What a mess. Oh well. Its 5am, it can stay a mess.
That second link turned out to be a huge help, I had a proper look once I had some sleep and wasnt so tired I was swinging from the chandeliers and hallucinating (Case in point: we don't even have chandeliers). It's pretty much the entire script for the game, and while I didn't go through the whole lot I was able to dip into areas Id forgotten and refresh my memory. Thanks again for your help, both of you.
Now go and enjoy the game, and don't hesitate to ask questions if you've some :)
