What's an Anguis?
Weissmann said he was one at endgame, but I don't think anyone mentioned 'what' an Anguis is. Peeking on the wikia has led to some... unfortunate spoils, so I decided to ask on here.

I don't need to know 'who" they are; only what is the classification differences between an Enforcer and an Anguis(though I guess Weissmann was both?)

theyre the big boys, the bosses but not the big boss if that makes sense. that would be that grandmaster guy who i dont think has showed up in any games yet
I think the Anguis are higher in authority than enforcers.

Anguis are basically middle management, although there can only be 7 at one time (and I think 15 Enforcers) and someone can't be both - similar to the way someone can't be both a major and a private in the army.

This is sort of true, my impression is the Anguis are responsible for carrying out the plans, and the Enforcers can help if they choose to ('choose' is significant here given the 'free will' policy within Ouroboros). Anguis are privy to a lot more information regarding what is going on, whereas the Enforcers only get to find out if they help.

Enforcers = mini boss.
Anguis = big boss.
Grandmaster = 1337hax0r.

Uh, I always thought an Anguis was just an Enforcer with the ability to make plans and have other Enforcers at his/her charge.

I hope any "Kiseki master" such as Floofy tells us what they are exactly.

We saw 3 Anguis now.
One was high-rank from church, who posesses cursed eye and can mess with people's minds.
Second is immortal saint.
Third is witch, who can awaken awakeners, do massive illusions and kinda can mess with people's minds too
And there is one, who Run 13 factories
So, I think they are kinda much more important and powerful, than Enforcers. I don't count Campanella here, because he trolls everyone, player of the game included.

In order of last post.

Weissman the Faceless
Arianrhod - 7th Anguis a.k.a. guy stronger than Loewe
That lady from The 3rd who has some sort of relationship with Ries and Kevin

That professor that's mentioned by Joshua in SC when asked about Ouroboros tech, forgot his name

Naaaah, not going to read it. Still, I wish if it was all hidden and warned. Even if it's just a number, I still wanted to know nothing about it.

Always.. don't you know that by now (still can't wait till we're caught up and I won't have to put up with this crap)?

Anguis are sort of like the overseers that enact whatever the current plan is. It's sort of implied that they're chosen for their ability to lead, think and act rather than for their raw strength which is why Weissman is the Anguis and Loewe is not. The interesting part is they have to manage rather powerful individuals that have extreme amounts of leeway or freedom Josh perhaps being the exception. Even "Ex-Enforcers" aren't truly "Ex" as it's *strongly* implied that they are still a part of Ouroboros even if they're off doing whatever the hell they feel like and not in a strong arm kinda way. It's honestly a little cool how the Grandmaster runs things. "Observer" is the real wild card of the mix. Campanella seems to be given even more freedom then most of the other Enforcers and gets to be an "arm" of the Grandmaster. I have no clue what that's about.

Yeah, I'm excited to finally caught up, because at this point Falcom will need to start building the ending of the series soon, since Trails is ~60% done.

You don't have to be good in battle to be an Anguis minor series spoilers an example being Novartis who runs the thirteen factories

Thanks for the spoiler. Are you doing it on purpose?

Pretty sure Campanella makes an appearance in later games, and still no one knows what the deal is with him/her/them. SC endgame spoilers The Weissman/Joshua situation was highly unusual and frowned upon even within Ouroboros given the 'free will' law, which I think is why Campanella's mission was to simply retrieve the Aureole, not to stop Kevin from killing Weissman

Changed it but didn't think it was really a spoiler? You might want to change the quote in your post if you think it is an issue
