This should help you a bit:
*points up to Walke's link*
Edit: So trolled... I lose lol.
I'm a bit of save maniac sometimes XD
btw, i'm stuck at a monster surprise attcak, the first one, in guerilla fortress, i think it's called.
Also, how do i make the surprise cookies if i haven't got the ingredients?
Even on hard mode, I found the last Jaeger to be a bit stressful.
On nightmare, it's virtually impossible without the right set-up, including having a good amount of surprise cookies. And unfortunately, I believe a couple of the ingredients have to be bought the night before, so if you didn't stock up at that point, there's no way to get more.
La tear is also a necessity. The "luck" quartz will also help a ton. You should also have the Emergency Puppet on Anelace, at least. I.....think that is the one that revives with 200 CP?
It's not just that we have to play well to survive his attacks; it's also an issue of having limited resources. Estelle and Anelace have small EP pools and only a few EP charges, and you'll have to constantly Clock Up and heal. If you run out of EP in the middle of the fight, you're dead. Without at least 8-10ish surprise cookies, I feel like you simply can't do enough damage to sustain the length of the fight.
Ok, so any other tips? Back to lv 40 now guys.
Simply put, the best advice I can give is that you learn how the battle system works. If you understand how to manipulate that turn bar and how delay works and why speed is important then you won't stuggle as much on later fights.
Also don't use clock up. The boost is not significant enough on Nightmare that it will change the flow of battle. Instead you will be wasting a turn which could be better used on healing or attacking. You want fights over quicker in the Prologue rather than dragging them out.
Edit: Later on in the game you get Clock Up Ex. That you will have to use.
