Any trick for getting 4 of a kind in poker?

I'm trying to get the gambler jack achievement and this is taking for freaking ever. I'm drowning in medals I've won so many, but have yet to see a 4 of a kind a single time so I'm stuck at 15/16 for the achievement.

I'm gotten 21 in blackjack and 7 7 7 in slots already.

I doubt there is any kind of trick to it other than praying to RNGsus but this is frustrating as hell. I even pass over a full house when I draw on to keep the 3 of a kind in the hope I'll get a 4 of a kind. No luck.

How did you get triple sevens?

Since you manually stop each tumbler, and they spin slow enough that you can see each symbol (although they're still fast), you can sort of time them.

Still hit or miss (mostly miss) but it also isn't random.

Real slot machines you have no control over when the tumblers stop.

You are doing everything you can. It's just luck. 1:4000 approximately. I got 2 in about 5 minutes in real video poker at a casino last weekend. Unfortunately I was only betting a quarter.....Took me about prob 6 hours over 2 days in this damn game.

4-6 hours was about how long it took me to get it, too. My advice is to take breaks if you start feeling frustrated.

Edit. Ok got the lucky sevens and the achievement did not pop.

Lucky 7 does nothing, it's:

Bleh, that's what I figured. What a horrible kind of achievement, I'd say it's worse than the 'You started the game' ones.

I left a save there in Chapter VIII in case I ever want to go back to it, but I decided to just move on and finish up the game.

The chapter sure ends with a bang!

It's purely luck based. It's been a while since I finished SC, but I recall it took me ridiculously long to finish this achievement because of that 4 of a kind :P Up to 10 hours even.
