This is what makes casters good at casting, because they tend to have one really long line that just piles up all the element points in one shot. It's also why people like Zin aren't good casters (besides the low ATS stat), because they have a bunch of short lines with little way to really build a solid batch of elements - -so they mostly just pick up some buff spells and then coast on the passive bonuses.
For Zin's orbment there are 4 colors/lines. If you put quartz that have earth sepith on the first three slots, then it will all count to one line. But, for example, let's suppose you put in the first three only quartz that gives 1 earth sepith and you need 4 earth sepith. If you put the last earth sepith in another line then the first line will still have only 3 earth sepith and the new line will have 1 earth sepith. It will not count and you will not get the Arts you want.
Now for Tita's case there are only 3 colors/lines, the first slot only for Space Quartz only. You'd need to get somehow a Space Quartz and another random quartz that gives you 4 earth sepith for the first line. If you don't have quartz with high value sepith then it'd be better to try using another line.
You need 4 earth sepith. So any quartz that gives you earth sepith on the same line will help in getting Earth Wall.
I don't have the game installed, so I got the information from the wiki. I hope it is correct. You can easily see this on your bracer book, it has all the information for all arts for you to try out.
Technically to use arts you needed to satisfy it's elemental shard condition, ever noticed how every quartz you equip has some colored sepith shard ? This is the shard value get from quartz, to get specific arts you must have the specific (or higher) value of shards for it. In order to properly build the shard value of your character you gotta understand how the orbment line thingy works.
Basically, every character has a different orbment line setup, it is represented by the different line colors of your orbment, characters with more "colored lines" are harder to get stronger arts, the reason for this is because each line has it's own shard value, and they don't add up between themselves. Because of this the order in which you equip your quartz affect how many shards you'll have built up, and thus what arts you'll be able to use.
Olivier and Kloe are probably the best casters in the game, because they have only 1-2 lines, and both are pretty long, so you can score shard points with ease.
I don't know the combination for Earth Wall, but I know every combination for EVERY art is shown on the help menu on your bracer notebook thingy. Just gotta search there for Earth Wall and any other art you want to unlock.
An orbment can have one or more lines starting from the center.
Each quartz has its own elemental value from one or multiple elements. When you insert a quartz into an orbment the element value for those elements increases for that line.
Each art requires a certain amount of the elements. When you match the requirements then you get access to the art.
Without opening the game I can't recall how much Earth Wall requires or how Tita's and Zin's orbments look. If you can find one or more quartz with total element value of Earth Wall's requirement and then insert them on the same orbment line in Tita's orbment then she can get Earth Wall.
As a side note, longer orbment line means the character is better suited to be a caster because they get more EP and being able to insert several quartz to same line means you can increase elemental values much higher because they count towards the same total. It's like asking what is [1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1] once or what is [1 + 1] five times. The first one gives 6 but the second one gives 2 no matter how many times you ask it.
