Why is my Steam game time different to the time recorded on the game?
I just finished the game and while it's not really a big deal, I'm curious, Steam says I've only played the game for 91 hours, but the game itself says I've played it for 120? This is the only game I'm seeing this with, the FC game times are pretty similar. I'm pretty sure I was always online and connected to Steam when playing as well. Is it because I played a lot of the game in turbo mode? But I did that for FC as well (once I discovered it lol) and that time is accurate?

Also, I'm new to this discussion board, why has it changed the abbreviation for first chapter into two hearts?
Could be if you've ever opened the game without steam running (for example from a shorcut on your desktop) then it wouldn't record your playtime then.

Another reason could be if you used turbo a lot, that possibly could have sped up the in-game timer.

Yes it's the turbo for sure. Fast forwarding moves forward the game clock but not the steam time played clock.

This is not just a Steam thing. I also experience the same thing on the GOG versions, of the Trails in the Sky games and also the Cold Steel games. There is a discrepancy of dozens of hours between what my Clear Save data is for the amount of my time-played, versus my time-played as recorded in the client software. The in-game save data always lists a much lower amount of time.

So are you saying that the in-game save data time is actually an inaccurate, very low-balled number, whereas the client-recorded time is actually the accurate true number?

You see, that's what I thought, but in Trails, the game takes note of what time you save the game as well, based off my computer clock, turbo doesn't speed up the clock on my computer, so that's why I'm confused as to why it would affect my game time. I'm pretty sure, the game saved based off my computer clock? I also used turbo mode in FC (not as much because I didn't even know it existed for a while lol) but the time difference isn't as big, in fact I think steam recorded my game time as higher.

My steam says I have played for 7363 hours and I can guarantee that... illness and confinement issues. however Rockstar says I have only played 6312 hours. I cant believe I have spent 1051 hours or 43 days staring at a loading screen. by the way I am Level 1526
