[Resolved] Black screen on launch

I can hear sounds and all, but I get nothing but a black screen on launch on both integrated and on GTX 660M. Maybe it's a windows 8.1 issue?

Thanks for reporting!

We have played on windows 8.1 without issue. Try hitting F11 for fullscreen. No idea if that will work, but it is worth a shot.

If that does (or doesn't work) let us know and I'll probably try to get some more info from you.

Update: Same issue on full-screen as well. However, the black screen seems only present in the intro and main menu. If I randomly click around or press enter, the game becomes visible once the match begins...

gotcha. very strange. I will definitely look into that. Was that with the GTX 660M? Can you maybe try to update your drivers? Might be a driver bug. It is definitely odd that both of your cards exhibit the same behavior though.

What is your integrated card btw?

Both drivers are at the latest stable version. I'm in no hurry though, so eventually this gets fixed down the road. Thanks and good luck!

Integrated is Intel HD4000

Hey guys, its Ash Blue (from SF). I'm getting the same black screen issue. I can hear everything and interact, but no picture. I'm on an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 EVGA graphics card.

Interesting. And lame. It is starting to sound like we might have an issue with the GTX 6XX series. I unfortunately have a GTX 5XX series card. I don't believe we have one in the 600 range between us. I'll put together a test app shortly and I might have one of you run it to see if we can track down where the breakdown is, if you are willing. One thing to try (this is a longshot, but it might tell me something). Try holding down the "M" key on you keyboard and see if that has any effect. I'll be in touch sometime this week.

I should mention, the M key won't do anything until you get to the main menu (to check if you are the main menu, the arrow keys should make sounds if you hit them). The mouse should also make sounds if you move it around overtop of where the menu would be.

2 x MSI R7850 with 13.12 drivers (CrossFire is disabled for Hive because, it isn't in fullscreen)

Hmmm, interesting. So you were able to play previously, then? Do you think you could hazard a guess when it started happening for you?

I played before when it first came out on Steam (well when the Humble keys were given out if that helps) then I noticed an update about a week ago and got the blackscreen. Awesome game by the way. :)
