Current diplomacy is kind of too simple and not really working in single-player game (I have never seen AI accepting a deal). Hope AI opinion and other common diplomatic actions would be available in the future versions.
Just need someone to confirm the AI actually can and will break NAP?
This is a problem. You should either cancel your move unharmed or end passively in the province but not controlling it.
I don't know how it decides who fights first but it makes no sense thematically and I'm sure this could be gamed.
You have disciple games, but you can't coordinate with your AI ally at all. You can't even join their battles.
Not only does this game have poor graphics, it also has poor diplomacy and teamplay. Such a missed opportunity, especially since they had those options in their previous game, Elysium.
As is the NAP option needs to be reworked so that your armies fight if you both move into an enemy province, and without breaking NAP, as is it's just a free tool to mess up an opponent without recourse, risk, or meaningful cost that you're supposed to not be messing with.
I do wish that trading gems was possible in SP, but I also know it would be way too easy to extort other factions for gems with junk magic items.
The AI learning how to trade might be interesting, as would binding trades, but that is pretty much the extent to which you could add Dominion's 'non-political diplomacy.'
