What's the math behind the new bless system?
I don't understand the math behind the new bless system.

Watching a video just released by Lucid, he has a pretender with 3F3A3W3E3S3D which gives him 12 bless points.

Or a pretender with 3F3A3W3E4B getting 11 bless points.

Is 4 in a path still an important breaking point?

Does 3 in all elemental or sorcery give a bonus?

It could just be because it's new, or I'm missing something obvious, but this new system seems very unintuitive.

I don't know exactly, but I remember something about every path point about 1 gives you one bless point?

That would match the points displayed.

Edit: It's also pretty easy to grasp.

Bless points = Total path level - Number of paths + Nation bonus

Pretty sure it is that straightforward.

The other way to look at it is that the bless points that you get are for every path in a school except the first. And then from what I understand from others in discord you can put all of the bless into one type if you want, so if you had 15 points of bless all 15 could go into nothing but blood blesses if you want, you don't have to spread them around. I believe you do have to have the paths for the bless still, so if you only had 6 in blood you could repeat lots of low blood 1/2 blesses in my spend 15 in blood example, but you can't get something that needs blood 8 if you only have blood 6 on the pretender. And I think some nations now get bonus bless points instead of bonuses only in one or two schools of bless, but not sure.

The ability to double dip in one path's bless is an improvement to rainbows or to nations that need the god to forge/spell cast in some path but the bless in that path aren't as good. However, the fact that only the second and subsequent point of path adds to the bless points is a major rainbow nerf.

You get 1 bless point for each point in magic path above 1. The first point in any path doesn't give any point. From what I've seen
