Noob here so never cast this spell yet. When your caster dies and turns into the lich do they lose the items they are carrying? I'm guessing not as the spell would be rarely used as D5's are pretty rare. Just want to be sure so I don't lose my death boosters.

i don't think you lose the items as I casted a ritual that kills the caster and summons a commander (Ashdod) and the items appeared in the treasury.

In general if your commander dies out of combat and there is a lab in a province you get all his items transported to treasury.

The lich chassis has a full set of body slots, so any items used to boost the paths of the mage to cast the spell should still be worn by the resulting lich. I have cast the spell with an Asphodel dryad but can't remember if the items were still on the lich afterwards, but I do know nothing was lost in the process. I used a ring of sorcery among other items to cast the spell so I would have noticed losing it.

Lichcraft removes no equipment and retains all globals held by the caster.
