Might be other ways, but I have not discovered them.
Get an unit with the healer ability - depends on the nation you're playing.
Get the chalice (Construction 9, Nature 5, Astral 3) and have it be wielded by someone in your cap province - it will heal all afflictions (and attract knights to kill the wielder).
Another way: Get your pretender horrormarked and subsequently killed.
(You would have to decide if this would be worth the hassle, though.)
No.
But both can be circumvented by getting the reconstruction bless (always something to consider if choosing an inanimate pretender).
So for the OPs problem, no I don't think there is a way.
Outside the horror mark option.
So put some lightless lanterns on the god and hope it gets horror visited soon.
Apparently none of the healer options will work anymore on inanimate beings.
And "Wish" (Alteration 9) which can kill the pretender in a more clean way.
It's just more expensive and can be a while until someone is up there.
Just have to figure out a way to beat the competition on a chassis that have no attacks.
Given that magical nonhealing units can be "healed" in a laboratory, that honestly shouldn't be to hard to justify.
And there is the new Corpse Stitcher trait, there really should be one for inanimate beings too. "Golem Fixer"?
Feebleminded leaves you with no magic. So no teleport or Stygian Path.
