I've also had a Tien-Chi specific event where an Ancient Master lives in the woods and you need to do some stuff to advance it.
Sadly the event system is still either hopelessly obscure or just broken as in Dom 5 and 4. I never know what to do, i see the little book icon everywhere, but either no special actions appear, or they do nothing even if i send the people the event texts imply to want.
For my next game i will have to turn off story events, or events altogether. Luck scales seems to be a waste of points, even on +2 luck still mostly just get a parade of independent attacks and various disasters.
Check your province histories - they usually contain enough information to work out what the event needs.
