Flames from the Sky now countered by Fireres Bless
Flames from the Sky used to be the one late game redeeming aspect of Fire magic (with it being massively countered by any fire resistance bless, fire res spell, or protection buffs in normal combat). Flames from the Sky was different as it targeted the whole army, and targeted the army without buffs. I think this dynamic is interesting. The spell prevents armies death balling and also serves as one of the few rewards for high path fire.

The spell now it feels significantly weaker as it can be potentially be countered by a minimal investment in a fire resistance bless. As long as a holy priest 3 is present or the pretender in friendly dominion, all sacred units now take vastly less damage.

I think the visual of the flames falling is fantastic, but perhaps, it could be modified so that the priests don't have as much chance to bless, e.g., the targeted provinces units and commanders could start stunned or confused. I think this would be reasonable, as the flames are unexpected and a surprise. Even with this change, the dom 6 firestorm would be weakened from the dom5 one, as a pretender with a fire-res bless guarantees good sacred protection when in friendly dominion.

I am a little worried that Dominions 6 balance changes may mean doom stacks of infinite human mages are harder to deal with ... But there remain several other ways to punish doom stacking, including some new ones, so it might be best to wait and see on this detail.

It used to be a way to delete whole armies without any type of counter possible. It was massively OP. Nothing in dominions should have no counter. This is probably the one spell that absolutely required the nerf wrecking ball, and it at least got some way t counter it now.
