None of my vampires are sacred units so they don't get blessings? (I'm new to the series. please yell at me if I'm wrong or lacking in knowledge)
Nope, no bless. That said though, vampire counts are insanely powerful. One of the more cancerous strategies in Dom 5 was:
1) Get a pretender (ideally awake) with at least 3 blood and 3 death.
2) Spam Rangers of Ulm and Wolfherders. Use the freespawn wolves as a screen for the x-bows. Conquer provinces.
3) Then get as many Members of the Second Tier bloodhunting as possible. Once you hit 44 blood slaves cast "Sanguine Heritage".
4) Drown the world in blood and vampires.
If anything it looks like Sanguine Heritage has more unique summons now. If anything the above strategy is even more powerful.
How to craft items?
Select a mage in a province with a laboratory. Press 'F'. Or press space and then select "Forge Magic Item".
No recipe
You need to have researched construction too. Const 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 are the points where you unlock new items to forge.
You unlock increasingly more powerful magic items to forge at Construction levels 3, 5, 7 and 9..
Yes and you can click on them in the research menu and it shows what items it allows forging (if you have the gems/paths for it that is)
Do I stick the rangers with the wolf herder or do I stick the wolves with the ranger captain?
