I don't think the Jomonese cavalry are famous, are they? Maybe I'm missing something but they don't look like armoured horses on the main sprite either.
I agree that they should have a lot more access to glamour though, although it presumably might be just that they haven't been yet got their turn to be reviewed and properly rebalanced for the changes in Dom6, just getting a quick pass to make it compatible.
its also not "fluffy" as samurai cavalry was just that, basic cavalry. maybe they got some samurai horse archers, but thats not on the scale tien chi for example has anway.
