Top Tier Skills
Just curious as to what you guys experienced as your top picks so far. I only played a handful of runs but some of the combos i went for were clearly superior than others. While artifacts certainly matter there are obviously W's and L's (e.g. shatter traps or w/e they re called, lol) on the skill side.

Here are my top contenders while basically deciding on a main stat (str, int, etc.) and main attribute (dmg type) before starting the run to blindly pull through with that:

Death/Strength - with Assassins Blade and Death Scythe (squishy goth nun)
those skills seemed somewhat balanced between each other even though assassins blades always had the edge. once those two are maxed everyting in the vicinty kinda just vanishes, smooth sailing on difficulty 2.

Summon/Strength - with Skeleton Soldiers and Tornado Hounds (succubus)
while the hounds occasionally came out on par with those skeletons, the skeletons usually outperformed the hounds x2 and everything else by a huge margin. that run was an absolute breeze on difficulty 3.

Summons are very powerful with the skill diffusion artifact which doubles all your summon spawns. Pair that with cooldown reduction and you will quickly have an army of your own. I mostly played Stella so far either as summoner or full on poison, both very powerful. Summons beat difficulty 6 pretty consistently with all the challenges at max, except for 3 that i still need to unlock. I assume lightning is quite powerful as the blessing that you get from the synergy increases your global damage infinitely based on stacks gained from kills with lightning skills(keep in mind that kills needed increase as your stacks go up so the devs didnt let that one go over their heads, they knew right away to keep it in check). I have a feeling that the last two death characters are incredibly powerful with the death or dark skills and crit damage but I dont want to play them at all for that reason to be honest. I will stick with poison and summon Stella and might try the mage with the lightning route. Summons really are nuts tho they really delete bosses quickly. I was playing only poison before going into summons and poison ramps up in damage, once bosses reach a third of their health you can really see their hp bar dropping within seconds but when i tried summons they dealt the same kind of damage right away and bosses last no longer than 10 seconds despite having millions of hp xd.

24 Hours in and i didn´t even got close to playing the same Build twice, absolutely amazing for a Game in this Genre.

My go to right now, is just pick a Mainstat like Fire, Shatter, Death and just get all the Skills for that, this way i also can test how they compare to each other, but you also gotta consider that some Skills are way more utility than rough DPS, some others are absolutely amazing against Masses, but can´t even tickle single Big boys.

So far that went very sucessful for me, have only lost 1 run so far and i usually always went +1 higher.

As for summoner my favorite aka i assume the strongest. with all out Summoner, is actually the Bowgirl, because that weapon buffs summons like non other and the secondary stat is Time, which is pretty much just as important in my Opinion, to reduce those long Cooldowns.

Aside from that i really enjoyed Frost and Lightning, because they scale passively quite nice. atleast if you´re focusing on single Elements.

recently played stella for the first time and went with 6 poison skills as well. was often busy running around not paying attention to realize the last quarter of the boss hp bar kinda vanished. already thought there s a cull mechanic involved but i have no idea how long poison stacks last or many stacks you can apply. eitherway, i have shared that experience :p

from the sound of it your diffusion summoner approach is a strong contender for anything working properly so i wouldnt assume you re better off with lux or goth girly, since that seems to be why you re shying away. would definitely give them a chance :er_sweat:

Yea i also took it slow, even though i put alot of Time in it already, Figuring out all the Mechanics, Items etc. and enjoyed the Memes and giggles and the tiny Stories/chars, exactly how i like it, not shoved in your Face, but nice tad bits inbetween.

And yes, Can confirm i am super hooked haha

Especially with the Item share system, Already got some mates joining, so we can tackle our top tier Items in a small Group and maybe even make some new Mates within the Community.
Considering how difficult it is to get your Hands on "Godlike" Items, Certainly required, and i am all for it!

by the way i just realized you can reroll affixes outside of runs in the artifact vault and once you roll your desired stat you can lock it and only roll that specific stat until tier 5... i thought getting maxed out artifacts was difficult but it actually isnt lmao. Well once you max out all the progression and get your soul gem economy going. Rerolling once costs only 500 gems and rerolling a locked affix only costs 1k and runs will get you 30k+ soul gems and endless probably in the 100.000's but idk if thats time efficient. What im trying to say is its actually not that hard to get a desired stat and then roll it to tier 5.

Oh, i for some reason thought that also locked the rarity because my Arpg Brain thought, affixes can have Ranges, for example 8-12% Damage on orange roll.

That certainly makes it easier to grind for specific ones, but thats still gonna be a major Project, Endless you sure can grind a bit faster, but its not like insanely faster.
Especially since higher difficulties in endless are broken currently from what i heard. They probably wanna balance things a bit right now, before some People finish the Game in 10 hours and move on.

Also with the next patch they wanna add bigger Vaults, so we can have multiple Gearpieces for different Builds, which increases the possible min maxxing and required Grind to ridicolous Heights...If thats your Thing like mine xD


Anyway, thanks for letting us know, I would´ve totally missed that possibility for another 10-20 hours xD

whaa, fancy. i knew you can roll affixes in town but since the cost felt a little steep i noped out right away. had no idea you can lock affix type, sweet.

Have collected almost all Artifacts (got 5 left until i have 100%) and i am almost done rolling legendary affixes on all of them, 5 left until im done rolling stats, i went for lightning focus damage since the lightning synergy is quite strong.

Does great damage, went up to endless stage 27 where i ended my run since i just wanted to cash in the crystals :)

I think the devs should change the thunder blessing, it's annoying that you need lightning dmg to increase global damage which just makes it more efficient to go all-out on lightning.

Honestly once i turned up the difficulty up to arround 15+ on the 2nd/3rd Stage, Lightning became very difficult to manage, their skills are quite low dps, aside from the Electro Bugs which are the only reasonable way to get through the earlygame, especially against enemies with Armor.

And later down the Line the main reason they stay afloat is the perma stunlocks n Stuff, but the Dps is barely there to keep the Thunder blessings scaling up.

But aside from that i also really enjoy Lightning, passive gains are a favorite of mine :D
I´m thinking about maybe trying to make Lightning work in the earlygame and then pivit into another Build, once the Dmg % barely moves/matters anymore, but no clue if thats worth the hassle.

In my current run, only wave 8 or so, im already at thunder blessing 80 with only having used electro bugs as my lightning source, I don´t think its worth commiting full Lightning anymore for a few more %dmg.

I usually play with every modifier turned on so the game kicks you in the balls quickly so my go to is using the piggy bank with 30% gold bonus and the 20luck dice with 20luck modifier on every slot, or the +1 skill slot with xp bonus modifiers, with everything pmuch and buy cheap grey items in act 1 and skip all elites.

You want to take your time with the first boss and just farm the regular mobs to get a lot of money and xp to snowball in act 2, lightning in particular can farm up the extra dmg here but you will need some kind of real dps skill or the boss will take an eternity.
