New Final Boss Time Attack Challanges
The new update adds time attack challenges to the final three bosses and allows them to be replayed like all the rest of the bosses. They also unlock three new talismans.

Defeating Nanamagari's first form under 3:00 minutes unlocks the Cursed Treat talisman which increases the villagers power when their health is half or less.

Defeating Nanamagari's second form under 2:30 minutes unlocks the Balsam talisman which depletes the enemies resist gauge when Soh preforms a Perfect Guard.

Defeating Cursed Soh in less than 4:30 minutes unlocks the Forgotten God talisman which increases the power of the villagers based on the number of crystals in possession.

Those are going to be difficult to do on a save file that's deep in the NG+ cycles...

Cursed Soh in 4:30 is absolutely insane. Unless I'm missing some busted cheese strat the whole point of the boss is to play it methodically and slow and any aggression gets you one-hit killed by the arrow shotgun or Byakko's Claws. Boss has too much HP to just run full Attack Up talismans and glass cannon her to death, and playing normally countering hits and attacking from opportunity just doesn't leave enough time to kill her. If anyone figures this out let me know, I'm getting tired of spending 2 minutes every retry on upgrading all the villagers.

Got it down to about 3 minutes- the secret cheese is definitely cannon villagers. You want the Crescendo talisman that increases villager attack power during an attack order (important), and Rikugo's Vigor guard to increase their attack speed and power even more. Bring Taion's Lightning aswell incase Cursed Soh decides to sit at the edge of the arena spamming arrows. Every one of your villagers should be a cannoneer placed in the center of the arena. The second the fight starts pop your first Rikugo's Valor and issue an attack order from the command menu. They'll blast Cursoh in the face, these guys do insane knockback and stamina damage. Run up to Cursed Soh and get as many charged combos as you can safely land, and if you brought some Tsuda Snares drop one here and break his guard. Make sure your Rikugo's Valor guard is charging because you'll want to get two uses out of it. When his guard breaks you'll have enough time to do a full light-light-light-heavy combo and then get a finisher. At this point he teleports away and starts phase 2, which is just hiding away and shooting you dead. Position yourself away from your cannon guys so they don't get shot by him accidentally and let them get in range of him again, if they're not moving or Cursoh keeps running away rip your Taion's Lightning to instantly break his guard- you can close the distance and so will the cannon guys. You'll have to deal some more damage until he gets to his next phase so try ripping as many light-light-light-heavy combos charged or uncharged as you can and hope the cannon guys keep him stunlocked if he whips out the glock on you. Phase 3 he'll teleport back to his original spawn location near the center of the arena but doesn't have any new nasty tricks, just keep damaging him as best you can and the cannon guys will quickly take him to phase 4 (hell). When he teleports and stabs himself in the belly with his sword rush to the Chozusha Basin and buff yourself. Rush toward the boss and drop your second Rikugo's Valor on the cannoneers on the way. When you reach the boss he'll probably pop up a dome shield that you can break through with an uncharged combo. This is basically where your run will die a majority of the time but with some luck you can also end the fight here, I was at about 2minutes15seconds at this point. Pray that the roided up cannoneers do their job scorching the earth and rip as many uncharged light-light-light-heavy combos as you can into Cursoh and their newly hatched clone as you can manage. You take 0 damage or knockback when the basin is active so you want to maximize DPS. If your basin runs out and the clone isn't dead it's game over, but if you focus entirely on killing the clone you won't deal enough damage to kill Cursoh in the next minute or so. I got very lucky with my cannon guys spamming the playing field and by the time my basin ran out the clone was dead and Cursoh's stamina was almost broken which let me finish the job. Despite all this he can drop a charged arrowshot in your face whenever he wants so this is almost entirely luck-based. Also, don't retry the mission when you fail- there's a checkpoint save when you enter the arena that you can load and all your villagers will still be upgraded which saves a lot of hassle. Don't bring a shaman either because she'll just rush straight up to the boss and die when you issue the attack command.
Good luck
TL;DR - Bring cannoneers and make them angry

The Forgotten God talisman is freaking good! Comboed for the one that works the same for Soh it's an insane well rounded build. Wish we'd have more content for the game.

Hi, Paddy, thanks for your advice! However I tried few times with the above method but only to clear within 5min30sec...
My question is, did you clear it with new +8 stage? Seems like HP of Cursed Soh in NG8+ is a lot even with all cannoneers and taion tsuba spamming, it is not enough damage output.
And, what mazos were you using if you kindly like to share :)

I played yesterday, and literally wouldn't have noticed this if not for this thread.
Thanks OP!

I now have the new Mazo Talismans on both my NG and NG+ save. Though, I think I'll just restart my NG+5 progress from the NG+ save, rather than try to time trial supercharged bosses.

Also, huge thank you to the devs, not just for the new talismans, but also for the ability to actually replay the last two bosses. Very nice additions!

Has anyone gotten Nanamagari's 2nd phase in less then the 2:30?
