You have problems with phase 1 or 2?
For phase 1 you can go with all woodcutters and then stun the boss with one art and then buffing villagers.
For phase 2 I haven't found a good strategy except to remember you're not on a timer. So you can focus on dodging while you're arts are recharging and then only go in for an attack when they're off cooldown.

You run away from the ball of death, basically. In the second half of phase 2 the ball of death will dash at you towards the end of its duration, so keep your distance.

The dashing ball of death stays high above the ground for the most part, while the normal one doesn't so that's an immediate visual sign. It also usually comes with the boss' rush attack paired with it.

It's possible to use a tsuba guard to dodge it, if need be.

Phase 1 can be cheesed with an army of sorcerers and some tsuba attacks, as always, but phase 2 is better played with the Worship fountain. Also, equip the talisman that boosts attack power and defense with no villagers around.

Afaik, the death ball can be canceled with a charged "rising" attack like Oka 2?

yeah based on you guys suggestion i prob need to change my equipment and some tsuba guard too

for phase 2 use speed talisman, range attack and tsuba attack.

My method for phase 2: burst the boss down before it can play

-Dragon fountain worship then activate Kijin's specter
-With the invul just walk up to it and use 1 offensive Tsuba ability (Suzaku's flame, Taion's lightning, Byakko's claws)
-Abuse the invul and buffed damage to finish off the remaining stagger bar with Shiden dance combo into charged attack
-After staggering do a quick combo (1 light into charged) then punishing strike, combo again as it recover
-After it resets use another offensive Tsuba ability and stagger it again while the fountain's buff is still active
-Another quick combo into another punishing strike then manual fight the rest if there's any remainder HP

The entire HP bar should be gone by the time the dragon fountain buff runs out
There might be variations based on the Tsuba ability that you use and your Soh's build and attack damage

If for whatever reason you still end up in a prolonged fight, Kijin's specter is (relatively) quick to cooldown and come back, use it as much as possible because even if Soh gets downed you can still control the specter to attack and damage the boss for free while it tries to target Yoshiro

Highly recommend the lightning slash. Also the stagger arrow is great for when you are at a distance.

I just want to say that this thread also helped me but for the life of me I can't get through phase 1 with just woodcutters, I ended up cheesing it using 2 sorcerers nukes.

If you're still having problems with this, here's a suggestion, the attack on Yoshiro isn't instant. He drops lightning rods and you can attack them. I didn't realize this until my second attempt and on the third I didn't wait around to see if the Spearmen I had locked in place to break them were actually doing it (it didn't look like they were) so I Sorcerer bombed them and it worked. You CAN attack them with the sword too, but obviously be careful you don't aggro the boss on Yoshi's location. I had three Sorcs on my run, so I got off the bomb twice, the first time for dmg and the second to clear the rods. There is a windup for the boss's dropping them. I saw the rods orbit him for a moment on my first run, but then they disappeared in the chaos. You might be able to figure out a pattern if you need it (depends on your approach). For phase two, I didn't bother learning intracacies, I ran Pinnacle Shot and beat it first go-round (didn't know there was a phase two until the third go-round, in other words, it ain't deep. His attacks are easy to avoid barring one, and you'll have enough rations to recover if he hits you with it).
If you're not already, I recommend the charge speed mazo with all the charges for Oka, doppelganger tsuba, troop invincibility tsuba, and shield tsuba. Lock him down with Ascetic and start hammering his face with charged Oka dances then Punishing Strike him (you also have a wee bit of time to get some extra hits in before the PS attack). Also chozusha basin. That ♥♥♥♥ is LIT and stacks on doppelganger. If you have the chozusha mazo for Yoshi equipped, you can tactically save it for the lightning rods, or just go with the peace of mind that she can't be hurt while it's active. Honestly, this setup works with almost every boss. You can solo most of them in under a minute.
