You pay $50 for the game on Steam, I pay $10 to play it through Game Pass. Unless your game is 5x better than mine, you got ripped off.
If I like a game there, I eventually buy it somewhere else to "own" it for a little longer :)

So what? By the time that happens I will be done with the game anyway. If I want to play it again I will buy it in 2 years time for $10. Still save a load of money over buying it on Steam now.
Gamepass is where games go to die like Hi-Fi rush did even though it was well received by people who played the game(ports of the game came after tangoworks closed down).
So yeah gamepass is a scam because it gives Microsoft market share and doesn't reward creativity since any game regardless of quality can be a gamepass title.
