North Korea, the "lol" nation ?

I do not understand how can NK be competitive on this game. Even if i enjoy playing it, NK also has overpriced bad units. Especially accuracy
NK does have more units on each card but for what use ? In conquest why not, but otherwise it's useless.
exemple :
the mi25 - 60 pts, 11 per card, but really bad stats : 35% accuracy,4 missiles, 16 AP ?
I am not expecting it to be as good as the akula, but seriously, i miss everytime and if you want to destroy a single tank you need 5 or 6 of them and as long as there is a AA unit, you are dead (you can't just think ok "i destroy this one quickly and then i move this unit").

Air superiority : The new MIG 29 is a joke, 130 pts and you can only star engaging the ennemy at 4200 meters ? With patriot and so on you can't just let your planes fly to get the ennemy planes. And with only 900km/h you can never reached NATO planes (seriously, 130 pts...)

Tanks : Without including the T 90-s, all the tanks we can get have 40% accuracy. What the hell are we supposed to do with that ? The T70 is 70 pts, has a range of only 2100 meters and 40% accuracy...


And do not tell me "yeah but with more units on each card you can have more units" :
- only really usefull when you want to rush in a stupid way
- you still lose tons of points
- you can no longer pack your units, too many arty like Atacam and mars
- you keep being raped by ennemy tanks, planes, choppers
- arghhhhhhhhhh


Moreover, NK has tons of pretty useless units, what's the use of the MI 4 transport once it's used ? Most of the transport are useless, you can only rely on the BTR 80A...

* I am not expecting NK to be a top end nation, i just think it needs to be more balanced as during the 80's, NK wasn't in such a bad trend as it was supported by USSR.

NK wasn't supposed to be an overall competative deck in Wargames. Some nations in Wargames aren't supposed to be played competative like Denmark or Norway. NK is just one of them.

I might have wrongly used the word "competitive", what i mean by competitive is not about tournament and so on, but more like balanced to have a chance against other nations.

No I think he's right, you have to look at North Korea as similar to another Nation like canada or australia, they can't go head to head with the bigger nations by themselves in game

North Korea is meant to complete a deck (like for red dragons), they are not really competitive for "realism" reasons I guess.

But they are still pretty decent against other middle tier nations. NK has nothing which is worth being played. Only the B5 but because it's funny. Otherwise nothing.

One thing to consider when making a NK deck is that NK in real life as well does not use the same battle doctrine as the USSR or CCCP.... I say this because WG:RD does lend itself well to applying real world METL (mission essential task lists) and MTOE (Mission Task Orriented Equipment) concepts to a game...

It is easy to downplay their strengths if you are that angry. Calm down and look at their lineup:

T62D - Best 30pt tank in the game
VTT-323 - 120mm Pretty much a 20 point cheaper VPM120 (<- op)
T90S - Harder to destroy Leo 2A5. 1 tier smaller size and 4 more overall armor for no good reason
T55 recon - (i know every nation gets it but for bluefor comparison sake) retarded amounts of firepower, surviveability and optics in a 30pt recon
3000kg bomber - takes 4 mistral hits to kill it. lol if u use it wise its gg

Songbird : Sure, NK has so interesting unit to play but you cannot rely on them as a basis to build an army.
T90 S : Really good super-heavy tank, but also very high price and low availability. I deployed 3 of them in a battle yesterday night, 2 of them one shotted by an Atacam. Another one destroyed by a thunderbolt : /
Lack of reliable AA and fighter planes, my 2 Mig 29 didn't manage to destroy that thunderbolt.
T62D : Good and Cheap yeah, but it doesn't even stand a chance against IFV - marder, bradley and so on
B-5 : yeah pretty cool, it can destroy almost everything, but the main threat is not mistral but more NATO jets and heavy AA (Patriot, Hawk).
VTT-323 : I tried it and it's indeed a really good unit, i would have like a slight buff of the rane though.

I did notice the SU25, really interestin for its price.

Yeah but your not listening to anyone else, you just dismiss them all cause they have a different opinion. They aren't saying North Korea is a well rounded nation, they are suggesting its strong all over. Every nation has its strengths and weaknesses in game and not all nations are equal. North Korea is no different. It isn't alone in having some weakness

I am listening, but NK is a much weaker nation. Even if it has one good unit, you can't do anything with that. The difference with other nations is NK only has 1 or 2 good units on the entire roster and with a low availability.
I tried the T62D from Songbird list after he did it, i wrote down what i though about it.

I have started a thread on wargame problem about this issues, people with much more experience than me ("only" 290h) did agree and the topic has elvove on showing up that Eugen ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up NK and RD coalition.
My initial post was truly a post about complaining, hoping that i might be wrong about the way i am playing NK, but i does seem than NK has way behing other nations.
I might just sound a bit sad about NK, i do like this nation, i am just quite sad to see the way it has been balanced in the game.
