Wargame: Red Dragon

Which Wargame should I buy?
There are a number of Wargames on the market.I take it this is the most recent. If I buy this one do I need to buy the others too?

Alternatively some of the other games in the series are cheaper. Are any of those recommended over this one. Is there much difference between the versions or do different version simply contain different maps and units but otherwise the gameplay is the same?

If I did decide to save my money and dip my toes by buy Airland Battle or European Escalation would these be a good way to get into the game?

Buy Wargame series. It is much better than current Strategy/RTS.

Get RedDragon. All the multiplayer population from the previous 2 games migrated here, although Air Land battles still has some players. Likewise, you could just get the franchise pack.

$10 for 1 or $13 for all 3. Seemed an easy choice for me.

Wargame: EE is the only one with a helpful tutorial, or really any note worthy tutorial. I played RD first and was overwhelmed for weeks trying to work it all out.

RD is the only one where you can control time though, being able to put the game in bullet speed helped me get better at the game, as i could process what was happening better. Gradually this built up my playing speed as i learned more.

Being able to watch battles in slow motion is a nice touch also, you actually have time to admire you're units and front lines.

There a ton on really good youtube channels that helped me a bunch. Look up Vulcan., Boltsauce and Raptor of the Rappack. Thay have commentarys on replays of the best players and guides for noobs. If you are a new player they are a must whatch. They will make the learning curve that much easier.

Ya, I bought the first two for a lot more each (20 or so each?) and haven't even installed them yet, once again missing the later discount. But now should I get the third...

The Red Dragon is not ALB. The changes that are to numerous to list make it the best. The naval was a flop but u dont have to touch it. Its great now that u can cross rivers and do amphib landings but the ships are just boring.

My situation is a little different. I already own the first one, EE. Should I just pick up Red Dragon and skip Airland Battle?
ZoSo Dec 21, 2014 @ 7:12pm
Yes its ALB and more. RD has a BETA dlc right now but they are adding new maps when released. Get RD its the best and last installment of the sieries
