Flame thrower "Sapery" vs Napalm Launcher "Sapery 85" guys??
Totally the same stats and price, except the main gun.

So what's the main difference?

When is one better than the other, or is the 85 ALWAYS better than the regular guys?

The difference is that sapery has a flame thrower which kills 1 enemy at a time and reloads really quick, but the sapery 85 has a nap launcher that can kill multiple enemies but fires a single shot at a time, if it didn't hit the enemy when it is aganist some elite units then it probably might lose the gunfight.
I can't really recommend one of em being better than the other since they have their pros & cons, so try testing one of em by yourself and see which one you like the most.

I find that the Flamethrower guys are better for block to block city fighting, as they can put down the fire (literally) alot faster then the napalm launchers.

The napalm launchers work wonders against infantry in forests though, as they have longer range, and better damage then the flamethrowers.

Thanks all - and yea Hash, that's me.

While it's not clearly explained in-game, the flamethrower is actually a CQC weapon, as it can be used against units occupying the same block, whereas the napalm launcher cannot.

The napalm rocket has better suppression and burst damage and can deal light damage to veichles thanks to it's HE power. So, if you plan to attack with engineers, flamers will give you an advantage in close quarters, launchers will work better in a support role and should be kept at some distance.

EDIT : Incidentally, the automatic grenade launcher of the Granatomet AGS17 infantry (Czech) also counts as a CQC weapon. Doesn't make much sense if you ask me, swinging around a 30+ kg grenade launcher in a house doesn't really sound to me like an easy thing to do. Not to mention the fact that grenades usually have to travel quite some distance before arming for safety reasons. But hey, videogames :)

Well, yeah... Obviously. You didn't know?

Granatomet infantry does pack a punch, but keep in mind it has only regular training and generally low-to-medium veterancy (I believe you can buy them at hardened veterancy at best and only in small numbers) . They are 5-men teams and very expensive. Like all specialist teams, they are meant to support line infantry, not directly engage in combat. A single granatomet team will get chewed up by shock or elite infantry 9 times out of ten in my experience.

So, no, Czechs don't have the best anti infantry in the game. I'd say the soviet Spetsnaz get that particular trophy. They do, however, have a very peculiar, very powerful support weapon which can, if used properly, empower your line infantry.

Nice post! I agree and I think in terms of overall infantry quaility, Cz isn't particularly great either. Although they do have Konkurs-M, which no other NSWP countries have. East Germany and Poland both have some strong infantry choices.

Much appreciated :) Yeah, Cz is a bit like the US infantry-wise : many choices none of which particularly good. No bad choices either, they're just very average. However after the DLC , all other Czech tabs received some serious buffs. The Dyna and Moderna tanks are really good and so is their repeating artilley and AA platform (can't remember the name). Their aviation is slightly second rate and benefits much from being in a NSWP coalition deck
