Same as all the high end aa, the only reason motorized gets the patriot is because it is wheeled.

Which is a silly reason. If there's one AA system in the game that should be Support decks only, it's the Patriot. I mean, it's already far more mobile than it is IRL (so's the Hawk, for that matter). The idea that it would accompany frontline motorized rifle battalions is ludicrous.

On the other hand, the Tunguska system was tailor-made to accompany armored formations. I really wish the deck specializations at least somewhat reflected reality.

Couldn't agree more.

I also don't understand why NSWP lost all their 152mm artillery and MLRS in their Mech decks.

But kept the ondava and strop2 in the motorized decks, just like the french kept the Caesar in its. It may be poor game design but it is consistent

That is very true, I guess I just miss having Ondava or even Dana back in the Mech Deck. But yeah, specialization hurts more now than before.

Ahem...
AAA (anti Aircraft artillery) Refers to guns not missles so your arguement is invaild
It is a SAM (Surface To Air Missle)

The tunguska can into guns and missiles.

Just come back from holidays and after reading all the forums i was expecting to see the patriot to be some super weapon. In the 4 games i have tried it it has payed for itself once in the number of planes it has shot down. Keeping up supply to these are a hassel also. The other 3 games they have missed a lot or hit once and not brought down the plane.

Dont see what the big deal is. I will switch back to other AA as it works better, can hit the helli spam and does not drink supplies.

The biggest joke is how its implemented and used ingame.

It drives with 150 km/h on road around the map, stops instantly and almost instantly fires a missile to then almost instantly again drive away with 150 km/h.

Now I know Wargame isn't a fully realistic military simulation but it isn't a totally crazy mockery of it either like how C&C is. Now C&C would use a deploy and undeploy timer to implement these kinds of units.

I could find this video of how the Patrriot is deployed

Looks like it takes at least a couple of minutes to deploy and use. Certainly not a drive by instant response kind of unit. It has to fixate itself i nthe ground too with those additional legs.

Good, it never should have been added to begin with... the less I have to deal with it the better.

1) This isn't a simulator
2) Who cares?
