3 new coalitions... only 1 good?

The Landjut (WGer & Denmark) is an awesome combo no doubt about that but the other two...

We know its gonna be USA and someone and USSR and someone. The problem I kinda have with it is that they don't need a coalition and they kinda already are one. Its called United Nations for a reason and is 10 times bigger than germany.

Coalitions add something to each other and well USA and USSR lack absolutely nothing.

USSr and NKorea would just end up being the ordinary USSR deck with only 55 deckpoints instead of 60 and what... a B5 because USSR doesn't have the largest bomb around town? Same with USA and whatever.

Considering the campaign and the timeline and the alternate universe were in something else however would make a lot more sense and be really exciting and fun to play.

WGer & EGer and SKorea & NKorea.

After the war the countries get unified and so would their armies. Since EGer sucks hard anyway and so does NKorea they could really need a big bro. They'd also complement each other nicely.

But maybe the engine doesn't allow for that to happen... would be a shame.

So the other less exciting but still cool thing would to be to mix coalitions. Somethign from eurocorps with scandi we already have. They could still combine a commonwealth country with another out out of an other coalition. Same with pact put EGer together with NKorea. They'd complement each other nicely too as EGer desperately needs a tank that doesn't suck and the T-90 could fill that spot and then there's the airforce.

But USSR and USA + somethign? a hell no.

USSR & NK are a thing now. So I took a look at the deck and wow just wow...

There's literally NOTHING worthwhile added to the USSR thanks to NK.

There's no Log no Inf no Sup no Tnk no Rec no Vhc no Hel no Air worth taking whatsoever.
Absolutely nothing, not even close.

So why again should anyone play a USSR deck with only 55 slots instead of 60?

I wonder if eugen likes to waste their effort on trash. The paycheck for the guy who came up with this certainly wasn't worth it.

Some honorable mentions:

T-90S 5p less than a BU with no missile ya I'll pass
Mig29 that can suicide itself into longbows... nah
Su25K with much worse weaponry than ordinary Su25 for a bit cheaper... lolnope
B5... this plane is trash only good for lulz. Then there's IL-102 xD
30p grenade launcher helo... neat. worth sacrificing 5 deckslots? hell no.
A recon vehicle with grenades on top... neat again.
Bochongsu for the cheap inf? ya well if you need it. 5 slots worth? nope

Every USA player needs these 5 slots for his beloved F15D Nighhawk Raven F15C combo.
The USA has a better equivalent to everything canada has to offer.

Recce Chimera Adats... who'd sacrifice an OP plane to include these 3?

usa got all the shock inf it needs. for the specialisations that don't have US Marines there's still Rangers and Deltas. A shame US marines no longer come in LAV that I could agree with but the bison hardly solves that.

What specialisation are you talking of anyway and what transport?

Marine has NO canadian infantry at all! lol is that a bug? Canada has 0 Marine units! ROFLMAO

V-150 is just as good as the Bison or Grizzly. Ya the hmg is a bit more useful but the canadian infantry is worse so...

Pathfinders have a much worse LAW than the rangers.

The Recce are just a gimmick. Taking them over a 10man recon squad isn't really an option imo.
Adats... meh. Nice to have but again I wouldn't sacrifice 5 slots for it.

Canada gives absolutely nothing to the usa except for those 3 gimmicky units that you don't really need anyway. Apart from very few units in the Airborne specialization there really is nothing and even that is debatable and imo not worth sacrificing 5 slots either.

Motorized, I like motorized, which for the US sucks.and no, I do not like the V-150. That is the only thing that recommends the coalition to me. Landjut does not strike me at all as any better then Eurocorp, nor better than the Viking coalition From the other end. The USSR coalition is probably great if you want the play Norks, although matching them with one of the Eastern coalition nations would have been better. An Anzac South Korean coalition also would be more interesting. The new coalitions appear hastily implimented and ill concieved, as illustrated by the being completely bugged and unplayable.

-Pongae 2 You could argue for the buk, but the pongae is cheaper and quicker. Only problem being 45% accuracy.

-Leopard C2 Mexas
-Canadian Airborne '85 it gives a good alternative to marines '90 in quick transports

-Wolverine I think this is better than the avenger true you only get 45% accuracy, but it is more armored quicker offroad, cheaper, and gets more range.

-Electric Voodoo-most cost effective sead in my opinion 900 speed, 50% ECM for only 90 points!

You really underestimate these coalitions, I think they add a lot of extras to the nations and patch some of the weaknesses, for example US infantry is bad and canada gets good infantry.

Ya gotta give it that motorised Norad has quite nice additions. Why you'd want to play motorised USA is beyond me thou.

The only motorised faction I play is RD. They got the tanks in recon and vehicle section and the bm24 makes up for the bad artillery in motorised. Norad moto doesn't... 8 Navy seals and 8 Pathfinders could be cool thou... being a city ♥♥♥♥♥ and all never leaving that one big town. Adats makes sence since out of some reason there's only the bad chaparals available.
