Nato Air simply has to cripple vital parts of Redfor navy down before going toe to toe...people still have to adapt to the navy part i guess.

Quite hard to do if they start rushing.

Redfor and Blufor ships were engineered with entirerly different design philosophies and the game reflects this. Soviet Navy ships were intended to be the striking power of the fleet, and so were equipped with long range, powerful, anti-ship missiles. On the other hand, the striking power of the NATO fleet came from its aircraft carriers, and almost every other ship was designed to protect the carriers. As a result, NATO warships have powerful AA systems, but mediocre anti-ship. So yes, if a Pact and NATO ship go head to head, the Pact ship will likely win, as it has more and better anti-ship missiles, and can likely win a gun battle. However, consider that most NATO ships in game are cheaper than their Pact counterparts. You can create a near impenetrable AA screen with NATO ships, then retaliate against the Pact. Alot of Pact firepower is going to come from their missile boats, given how expensive their big ships are, and those are very vulnerable to counter attack.

Well said.

As always one must adapt for every situation is different. Adapting means being able to live through and carry on.
