YES, YES, and YES. Riflemen are absolute garbage so I mainly only get them for the Bradleys and use the inf as flanks. the only REAL inf I use are Marines and I get like 2-3 cards of them. Delta Force are TRASH. Which is really sad and SEALS are too few in number (availability) to use as a SF team. It's really sad since I love playing US but their SF and rifles need some love. Anyone else think the same?

What do you expect your delta forces to do, clear countries like in the films? Theyre designed to do a job, and thats what they do. They are your eyes and your ears, apart from that they have weaponry to help out in situations needed, emphasis on HELPing out.

Um right now they don't even help out. Delta should at least be in line with Spetz.

Thank you. I've lost full 4 block squads of panzergrens/marines/(insert shock/special forces) to only a few spetz. It's kind of dumb. I understand Spetz are dedicated Anti-Inf SF but it gets to the point where it's kind of dumb/lazy. All I see from Pact now is spam spetz + ATGM in cities/treelines etc. and VOILA! Inf + Vehicle kills galore. all of this of course being protected by an AA net so all you're really left with is arty to clear it out.

Sorry for going on a tangent but I felt like I had to say it.

Omg,

The Spetsnaz have an AK-74SU that shoots just about the same distance as Delta Forces M727, but hey, did you know Delta's are more accurate?

Both have a MG but, once again. Delta's shine more when it comes to ground targets since they have a longer range!

The only reason why your pretty little delta's get owned by a spetsnaz squad is becuase they have a damn rocket lunacher with Napalm rounds.

Your delta's and riflemen are just fine. Just be smart is stay at a distance from them.

totaly useless. I removed them from all of my decks. They are not that poverful against infantry and completely helpless against tanks as well. Yesterday I had 2 groups of delta force in a forest get attacked by 2 of those chinese 80 or 90 point tanks and they only managed to do 4 points of damage to one of them before they died.
Delta Force is arguably the most underpowered special forces unit at the moment. I'm assuming Eugen will come out with a '90s variant.

That's a terrible assumption. My best friend, a Force Recon Marine said that Detachment Delta are the most highly trained SF guys that he ran into in his time in the service. You would expect that the devs would not base their weapons on 1970 tech, or at least have an updated version as there are with other INF units. No one expects them to "clear out countries", but we do expect them to hold their own as the spetznaz or as a true teir 1 unit would.

The US marines are really the only us infantry that I like (with the exception of the stinger squads), when using infantry I mainly use UK.

I think the US needs a redo of SF, Rangers, and Navy seals because right now none of them are working like they should. Delta and Navy Seals are based on the 1975 configuation of those teams which is sorrowly beaten by PACT contrys that have 90' era infantry. The LAW is totaly useless and the Carbine they have is also a bit trashy compared to 74Us. For the seals you get 4 sqauds of useless recon SF, they have no AT capacity and even the 40mm sucks agaist infantry due to its "2" HE power. Rangers are fine. I would say the Solution to this would be either taking Delta Force our and replacing them with a unit that would actualy preform these kinds of missions, Navy Seals, Force Recon Marines, or even moving army rangers too a infantry role instead of recon. The other fix to Delta would be to give them a "90'" version that had improved weaponry, AT4, Stinger, and mabye the M4A1. For the seal fix it is relatively simple, remove them or make them actualy viable as an SF unit. SEALS could be relplaced with recon Marines.

Another thing they could do is reverse the roles of Delta Force and SEALS. Due to Delta force being a very, very secrative and obscure unit it is doubtful they would be used on the line for assualts like they are now. SEALS, howeverhave been used time and time again in conventioanal fights and would actualy make for a good unit, Asuming they got a 90' upgrade and ditched the grenade launcher.

Yeah I've known a couple old SEALS and special forces guys. They had nothing but repsect for the Delta force they are def not cannon fodder the game currently has them at. There needs to be major changes in US inf formating. I would like the m14 to be brought in and something like the stinger would be nice. Giving seals grenade launcher the real accuracy of a SEAL might work as well. Most of them don't panic either, these guys are old and salty for the most part they calmy take cover.

I feel like Delta does not have a place in this game. It would be unlikley to see them in a conventional war. They are used for very precise missions, usually involving individuals of importance. They should replace them with an Army Special Forces card, such as the 1st or 5th Special Forces Group. It would be more realistic to see them on the battlefield in this game.

Army Rangers should be a shock infantry type, not a scout type.
