Stange issue when Invading Soul
I was just replaying the first campaign and got to the American landing at Soul

When I go into the map the north Koreans own the sea zone, but I was giving the beach landing zone to place troops. The enemy did not place any ships, and I do not remember if they kept control of the sea zone once the batle started.

Did they change something or is this some strange error that pops up every once in awhile

If you don't have a command unit in a zone you do not control it and will not control it in your next turn, deploy a amphibious command vehicle and move it to the water

Right I understadn that. This took place when I first attacked Soul. I jsut moved the carrier battle group into tthe seazone and disembarked troops for the beach landings. When the battle started during the troop placements it said I owned the beach but not the sea

I take it was jsut some goofy error

What type of command unit did you have in the sea zone, infantry and helicopters can't control sea only zones.

The carrier battlegroup in the campaign map does not matter, you have to control it in the battle map

None it would not let me place on. When th emap loaded I could only place units in the beach zone which had a command vehicle

The sea zone was red

Weird, maybe something to do with which units you used for the landing, if you really want to know you can ask on the forum in the bug section http://www.wargame-ee.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=155

Yeah I thought about reporting it to their official forms.

Was not sure if they changed something, maybe a carrier not capturing seazones. Other than that it is not a larg e issue for me and worked out in the end.
Yeah same thing happened to me. Here's a screenie of it: http://steamcommunity.com/id/piratexcore/screenshot/3317212202865436846

It is a known bug. (Also reported in the official forums). If it happens to you, you have one chance of recovering your campaign - deploy a LAV command vehicle (not command infantry in LAV) to the beach.. and send it to SWIM BACK (yes, really) to the sea zone.

Then you control the sea zone, and can send reinforcements.

Thanks for the tip

I got lucky since it said I had the sea zone I put in my tanks and infantry in the houses. Pushed through to the next zone caped it with my original cv and ended up destroying all the enemy battle groups.

same problem here although it didnt happen the first play through, if you dont attack immediately, move your units in, click end turn, the next turn you will have bravo. maybe its the cohesion of the naval group?

Perhaps its because you have it in the first play through, but if you do not keep a CV there at the end of the battle you lose it in the following game and have to retake it

Fixed in 347, just now available!

(And, it definitely happened in 345 or earlier, if you did not attack but presses end turn - the game lost the fact that you controlled the sea zone when the battle started).
