Wargame: Red Dragon

Wargame: Red Dragon

Why is a legacy Eugen Cold War RTS title getting any attention by the devs?
This is very bizarre when you have WARNO which is basically an upgrade to this game in every way. It's like Activision releasing a DLC for MW2 2009 a few months after MW2 2022 is released.

WARNO is also being updated and receives lots of dlc. It isn't basically an upgrade, its its own thing in Europe with a strictly european setting.

RD is a fun game that is still beloved by many, there's some good money to be made here by making new dlc of stuff that people want.

The thing with Call of Duty is that each year the old one becomes obsolete, hence why Activision isn't doing it. Nothing wrong about that.

Because they need MONEY and Warno cannot get it.

There are certain genres of games as well as developers that will support their game for a long time, if you only play AAA titles from major publishers then this is an alien concept to you.

However you have 14 year old games that still get updates, I will say that WARNO and War Game Red Dragon are different enough to where there is room for both.

Because Warno is good on paper, but most people I know, including me, stopped after some time because the gameplay isn't as fun as in Wargame. Most matches you just grind along a line for 40 mins. Going back and forth a little bit. I haven't really seen a decisive win in a warno match until now.

Just shows how easily they can make new units and divisions. Path of least resistance to money i guess.
