There are mods. But you can't add custom models and no one likes naval like that apparently.

If you go to the Eugen offical forums there is a modding section just for mods

Valid point..

I wish they would have a workshop on steam. So mods would become more common etc.

Yeah, we all kind of wish for that.

Apparently Eugen is not too supportive to mods becasue of third-party problems with Ubi and others.
For example they cannot give us a map editor because it is not their property.

The reason there is no workshop is not clear yet, I believe they did not find the time to do so, apparently they are permanently working on new expansion. However, I believe I can remember a discussion with one of Eugens employees saying that they do not want to split the community, this is why they don't want to support mods.

Not sure though.

They actually said they could have focused their development on mod tools or DLCs. They decided on the DLCs as to not split an already small community.

No map editor because they bought a licence to use it, which means we would need a licenece to use it also.

No Steam wrokshop is because there is no offical mod support for the game so why would they have a steam workshop just because of communty tools.

Eugen Is neutral on the whole modding thing. Doesn't care if you mod the game but they wont be putting any effort to help or stop you as long as you're not cheating which you cant really do without desyncing anyways.

I have never said they would stop people, I have just made very clear that they won't support it.

So can't really see the point you are trying to make about my comment.

I was trying to add to it, not comment against it.

It appears like an adjustment rather than an appendix.
