The design of the website interface is confusing just like the game interface is confusing also. I am hoping WARNO really works on the game interface which I found very confusing and annoying in Red Dragon. It didn't make learning the game easier.
For example, in the 1st campaign in Red Dragon, you plan out with the sector map in the turn based portion of the game. That map shows FOUR sections:
==== Busan, UIchang, Daegu, and Yeongdeok,
Then, LIKE MAGIC, once you actually start out, the game suddendly jumps to real-time showing FIVE different "maps":
==== To Namgang, To Geochang, To Daegu, To Busan, and Delta.
Whaaattt??! What happened to all my planning in the first four sections? Where is Busan?Where is Uichang? Where is Daegu? Where is Yeongdeok? Grrrrr....
I mean "Forum" section not their website.
I rather think they do some work in progress and open it in fresh new later.
even tough there is not much traffic like in the past, forums are vital for people coming.
they will learn, that they need this instead of what substitudes by now.
The move to the paradox forums killed it I guess, never went there though.
Meaning that any data you give them can be easily stolen from their site, so dont use common user names or a password used elsewhere when signing up to their site (you shouldnt do that anywhere anyway). And obviously DO NOT give them any phone# or CC info as it will most def be stolen.
You can still use the site to view posts, that will not risk your security. Assume that any info you give them is easily hacked though. And if you make an account to post, assume that it can be easily hijacked due to their lack of security.
To continue onto the website you simply hit advanced and then "proceed to XXX"(unsafe) and it will take you to the website.
Their webportal is HTTPS, but if they have a forum layer on the same infrastructure that is not HTTPS, yet collects and holds data shared with the HTTPS portal then that website is unsecure af on every level.
Even when you do so and proceed to unsafe zone it takes you to SD2 web site, not to the forum. When you click on SD2 site link to forum - page is not available.
Ahh, they probably realize how unsecure linking HTTP to HTTPS infrastructure was and instead of upgrading their forums to HTTPS they just deleted them. Eugen probably doesnt have very much money left after their last 4 games sold so poorly.
No Idea why they didnt just remove their forums from their main infrastructure and keep them up though.
I visit any site with no valid certificates with no issues.
