Best Wargame campaign (or alternative)?

Hi all!

I'm looking for a good single player campaign involving modern (>80s) warfare. I've read that the European Escalation campaign is more interesting than Red Dragon, is that the consensus?

I'm not keen on multiplayer, looking solely for a campaign-driven experience (not skirmish, either). I'm also open to other recommendations (including turn-based), just nothing World War II.

In my opinion the campaign of European escalation is much more interesting,
Wargame red dragon and Airland battle work with a regional map where you move regiment and brigade, and resolve engagement like it was a simple skirmish.

In European escalation you have different objectives and secondary objectives, with different maps and a storyline all along.

I recommend European escalation and Airland battle for Singleplayer campaign... and at least you don’t have to fight naval battle in those two-prior game.

Yep. EE and ALB. Or another game, World in Conflict.

ALB is the best,but the worst thing is the ai sucks so bad and it supposed to play as multiplayer campaign.
