It was a shock because of their attitude with the community before, always working with it in the DLC and balance.
There are a lot of reason they stopped i think, even if I remember they never gived "one" really clear.
I think one of the main reason is not Eugen, but Focus.
There are also the fact Wargame stay something for a small number of player, quite hardcore.
Too quick for classic wargame players, too complex for classic RTS player, I think they would prefer more buyers from a bit more casual game (They made it...)
Also,with frequent change of publishers by the devs ,they are suicidal to say the least.
Their new titles has smaller players and way smaller buyers clearly aiming at hardcore RTT fans that barely exist. AOA just flaming trash not even worth talking about,any sales is coming from previous fan base.
Look at god of war for example.
