Lol, a little late for that.

Yes but now that they are working on wargame again it should be very easy to copy paste a generic mortar to the polish roster. That would make poland a fun national deck to play. The ability to drop smoke is essential.

I don't remember any charges after March 1, 1945 in Schoenfeld :)

They should absuletely have the Vasilek as their mortar (they used it irl). I have no idea why Eugen didn't give it to them. It handicaps the deck so much...
That being said I sadly don't see them adding new units to existing nations, regardless of how nice it would be.

We were talking with a friend yesterday about the fact what in this game, infantry mortars doesn't exist

Yes, when Wargame first was released (nine years ago), the devs stated that including infantry mortars would not contribute meaningfully to the game, since it would be a slow-moving, vulnerable infantry unit that would have very limited range and be unable to take cover in buildings. In other words, infantry mortars in-game are completely made obsolete by motorized artillery.

As for Poland itself - well, it's a "minor nation" as far as Wargame's ranking-of-factions goes. It doesn't have a vhicle mortar, but it has the DANA and Piwonia which are both great artillery pieces. Also, thematically, Poland's strength is focused in its "Heli" tab, not its "Support" tab.

In theory, it could have been done by making it towed by a truck - sure, it would suck (inferior protection, ammo capacity and offroad speed) compared to self-propelled ones, but it could be done, at least for 120 mm mortars

Also the idea of "dont taking cover on buildings" is not so. Yes, you cant shot it from a closed room, but you can shoot it from a relative safe walled position, and a lot of houses have those big gardens. a 81 isnt that heavy, it is just weighs as an small man. A 3 team could carried their parts to a decent speed without troubles. Basically it is another infantry unit. i remember use them a lot in close combat, never played steel division,. Doesnt know if they use them there.
