go to multiplayer and don't be shy to join. choose team where there are mostly experienced players (level 1000+, rank 42+). don't rage quit, win or lose. after the game review past game. observe both sides. check on their units, their strategy. in assembling your DECK you may first refer to other players' units and study why and how they used it (that will help you understand faster which type of unit is effective in some situations or in a particular theater). be proactive, a team player, that is being able to assist, defend or attack. use ATTACK button when moving in the front line (with that the unit use their max strengths). use MOVE FAST button when deploying (they would likely use roads for faster mobility). one note to take, tanks are vulnerable without infantry or air defense and weaker in forests. keep your eyes open, and mindful that are not seen. use RECON as pathfinders. at times you need to zoom out to view the whole map to see how the whole game is progressing and which areas are less defended or most likely need your help. to enjoy the game, don't quit. i would recommend that you try 10v10 "Straight to The Point" (Air, Land, Naval battle) or 10v10 "Asgard" (Air and Land battle) that has 20,000 or above (not to exceed 40,000) points to win objective. to learn the game, don't succumb to defeat.

Well would like to be able to talk with people who also want to play

I’m looking to get back into the game. I certainly don’t understand the game completely but have a pretty good grasp of the game and would love to talk. Unfortunately I don’t have a functioning mic so it would have to be typed messages only.

I'm getting back to the game now. Really screwing up a lot. Playing only 10vs10 to not unbalance so much the team. I could learn from more experienced players for sure.

10 v 10 give bad habits. if you want to get back in the game withot being a burden to your team, try 1v1 against medium/good level opponents. I learned to play the game by getting stomped in ranked.

I never tried ranked. I will take a look. Thanks

alternatively, you can go on the wargame bootcamp discord server, there are player of all level, from beginner to actual top 10 ranked players, and you can fiind a 1v1 easily there.
