eugen do you know we exist?
why are you insisting on a sequel for your failed ww2 game that has no players a year after launch instead of wargame which is still somehow steady after 4 years

i read something about an article that EUGEN system and FUCOS HOME interactive are no longer working together, maybe thats why there will no longer be any big updates or next wargame. If Eugen makes a new wargame without permision FUCOS, they may be get sue cause Focus owns the 50% IP of WARGAME.

WARGAME:EE,ALB and RD
Developer(s) Eugen Systems
Publisher(s) Focus Home Interactive

Steel division 1:
Developer(s) Eugen Systems
Publisher(s) Paradox Interactive

Steel Division 2
Developer(s) Eugen Systems
Publisher(s) Eugen Systems
Director(s) Alexis Le Dressay

and an article says that EUGEN staff left or on strike "over alleged problems including unpaid contributions and ignoring conditions of contracts, half of the studio went on strike" reference:

hmm...well maybe theres another reason just saying.

Publishing doesn't necessarily mean split ownership, but you might have a point.

To be fair it had more at launch that ALB and EE.

I hope they will not ♥♥♥♥ up with SD 2. Self publishing means they have full freedom.

I think there is also something like... "What kind of WG4 could we make" ? Not sure Eugen is ready to stay in a game with small community, very active, but small.
Unfortunaly for us...

Steel Divison has circa 350 players on a weekday noon. It is far from dead considering you only need 2 people to play multi. But it is very different from Wargame and it is no surprise that Wargamers don't like it.

What small community? Wargame franchise is no doubt a financial success with good sales, thats why first game was followed by two sequels in the first place, and last game is most succesfull on top of that.

Its all just about some corporate conflict Focus vs Eugen, like Focus says "do us WG4 for 1000.000 dollars" and Eugen says "no give us 3000.000!" or something like this ))

They are making the game for 1/3 of the community here but they can profit as long as the making of game is cheap and enough sales.

I'd just like to point out that the jokers of Eugen said that there will be no Wargame 4 because they don't like the community and the drama.

So they make SD2 which has kind of the same community and even more drama.

Well, no one ever thought Eugen was particularily smart nor honest.

A game with Nazis in it will always attract the worst kind of people. It will also be impossible to balance because the drawbacks that Germany faced can't easily be translated into a single battle RTS.

Because Red Dragon is known for its great community.

Steel Division community is not even close to the Wargame community in terms of drama. There are people in Wargame who log only for Warchat, and Wargame players are constantly trying to undermine SD by posting negative reviews.

Dude, most people have abandoned SD44. There is no one left to do drama because they all left. Go look at the Eugen forums, it is dead. There is barely anyone posting anything anymore.

I was in a clan with 6 - 8 people, I am the only one left who gives a damn about their games.

Wargame had a phenominal community. You weren't here long enough to judge it. I bet you judge the Wargame community by what is happening in Warchat.

You have less than 100 hours in EE and ALB combined. You have no right to speak ill of its community.

SD 44 still has about 500 people that play it regularly, but it is true they don't post much, because there is nothing to post about. The game is finished, unlike Wargame, where even my limited knowledge tells me that there is a lot of work that could be done. Also, SD 44 community was always the quiet one. That game is not dead, just quiet. I suppose it attracted a completely different type of people than Wargame.
