Those nation packs are really cheap so you're not wasting money if you want to get them later on.
Whats going on with humanity? There was a time when games were released ONLY in solid 1.0 working state 100% complete without any patches and stupid DLC to follow. When developers respected consumers of their product and not ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with content and features.
CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT? )))
Act of War was one of those. Those times are definitely over. The internet is at fault. You can see it very well with consoles too. The PS2 had no online capability and so the games needed to work and run, the PS3 and PS4 however...
(I know about the PS2 online capabilities, but only 1% of the users used them so its irrelevant)
BTW,we don't need support, the devs has ruined the game twice, once with friend list removal and another with Yugo. The game has received no support for long time regardless there are still many people playing.
One can only imagine how popular this game would have been if they had handled it better at release and early on.
Its a cult game clearly, all from hardcore wargamers to casual RTS\RTT players are united under one roof. Very dedicated playerbase. Its time to think about sequel or successor if they want real money.
This very dedicated playerbase has changed a lot. Many players from EE are gone also many from ALB and early RD players.
Sure some go because of life like out of school or kids or business life but still we lost a lot of good folk.
Good complex RTS will gather the crowd without doubt. But they should not dumb it down and play with DLC crap too much. I hope they learning lessons.
The base game already has a massive amount of content - buying the nation DLCs at start isn't a good idea. W:RD isn't for everyone. If you don't like it, but play too much to refund it, at least you won't have forked up another $20 for the DLCs. If you do like it (which I hope you do - I think it's a fantastic game), then you can buy the DLCs once you have the time, experience, and money.
Hope to see you around!
