It gets worse when you get to the 2nd Korean war. But here's a tip, air
/arty is key and pay a lot of attention to terrain. Don't develop a crutch on armor, and learn to play very balanced. Pushes are difficult, especially head on, bottleneck enemies as much as possible. If you can lock down a bridge you can destroy a lot of enemies. Never be afraid to fall back. The fight is over territories, not bodies

bullet time is the key, fallback line support truck to heal. So with bullet time, can on time heal your troop. take a while the fight. you have only to inflict more dagamage and you won. ATG inf and may combine with flame throwers and MG infantary to kill inf or there support inf to defend there tanks from taken out. Also support good anti air so your strong point is not killed and too later. prepare for counter art. if they start art your strong point kill them. Bullet time you have time enough to find there gunpoints/shooting points.

Honestly, I find the campaign AI to be a bit.. Dumb. It's not easy because it is very, very good at rushing you with waves of units and will try to find weak spots in your defense and just pound on them relentlessly. Unless it is so badly outnumbered it is forced to play conservatively, the AI will always attack, so you can exploit this by creating chokepoints, as long as you also cover your flanks from probes.

It will use air support quite effectively, but never spam it like some players do, so air defense is a priority only if you need to protect precious units. The exception is napalm : the AI will happily and liberally employ napalm (and flamers) against your entrenched infantry. On the other hand, it will do very little to protect its own units against your air attacks, often grouping its AA defenses in large formations. So, use your air power as often as you can to balance the AI's inevitably superior numbers.

Just like in multiplayer, recon is king. The AI will almost always do a nice job with recon, so make sure to kill its rec units as soon as you can to blind it, while using your own recon to spot for ATGM teams and planes or attack helos.

AI will hit you with waves of units. Take out the recon first then position your armor and atgm units in good ambush points. Always resupply them. A well oiled supply route is the key to victory. Also have AA in AI blind spots so they will evac as soon you shoot at them. Or call out an ASF. In Second Korean Campaign you will be blitz by T-90s by the dozens and ChI-Ha V by teh hundreds. You need to learn how to ambush the AI. Also bombers work well to destory large groups of units.

I played +200 hours 's in campaigns and only little online... But here are my advice.

My advice for the first campaign.. In this campaign you have to defend in the start, and the best thing is to buy a bomber aricraft since the enemy will come in huge numbers and it is very efficient to kill enemy this way.. Also the bomber plane will rearm off map.
Els helicopters with AT missiles are good.
And ofcourse infantry in houses with long range AT and AA missiles. ( infantry is very strong )
And a little back then your bad tanks that you can use for an counter attack once you have softened up the enemy... ( stay away from buildings with tanks due to enemy inf ).
By the way if you press Q and click the map, then your tanks will drive and stop when they meet the enemy automatic and fire.. This is good since your bad tanks cannot shoot and drive at the same time... ;-) and they shoot at max range.
AT jeeps are also quite good from a distance, remember supply trucks they run out pretty fast.
The most important sector and most difficult is the one North/north east of the zone you have to defend.. Here you need Good AA guns/sams and some f16 that you send on the map every time you see the enemy attacking.. The enemys ground attack plane will really ruin your day, it is ultra important to kill them or stop them killing your tanks.
My advice get 1 or 2 aa guns in front, and then a AA sam site behind them... The AA guns will make the plane panic so they dont drop bombs, while your missiles finish off the plane.
And the more AA you have on the map, the less likely the enemy is to attack with planes. They get scared ;-)

In the two other sectors to the north west and west they have some helicopters and bmps.. on the city map have allot of infantry in buildings and drop napalm in the city streets and send out scouts so you can bomb their annoying art.
Actual once you have fought 1-2 battles then the enemy is no longer so dangerous, and if you can kill their command vehicles then the armys attack but always withdraw = you can just have 1 army on the map and you win and send the other units to other sectors.. ;-)

Later on when you get your hangarship and take the costal city.. then a good assault on the coast will be with helicopters and planes that can shoot AA radar systems.
And move one of your big ships as close to the shore as possible, they can easy kill helicopters.
by the way one of the ships have artellery and if you buy 3-4 of them and send out some scouts then you can actual be luck to kill command vehicles at the other end of the map.
ALSO send your river boats up the river, they can really ruin the enemys day.. But be aware of AT missiles used to shoot your ships.. you dont want to loose them.

TIP... the about air defence missiles hit more often when shotting directly at the plane. So example park your AA behind your tanks and use them as bait.. once the plane enter the map, then reverse your tanks behind your AA ;-) ( G key )
You also have a plane with maveric.. This plane is VERY good at killing tanks BUT you will loose them very easy if they have no AA guns or anti air planes to defend them..

Also the enemy artellery is really annoying... so you have to move your tanks forward and back to avoid getting killed.

TIP...: if you have 4 planes and you ONLY loose 3 planes in battle, then you can ALWAYS at your home airport refit and get the 3 lost planes back... BUT if you loose 4 out of 4 planes, your planes are dead forever.!! the same goes with example ships, and tanks ect.
Always keep 1 unit in reserve.

TIp. when the enemy attack you and you defeat them and they run away.. then attack them in the area they retreat to.. If you win again, then all units are destroyed.. Also if you surround an enemy on the 2d strategic map, and you defeat them and they cannot witdraw to any spot, then they are destroyed... This tactic, and the above are VERY usefull in other campaigns especially the last one, where enemy come with +100 medium/good tanks and its really tough.. again infantry, AT helis and bomber planes are you best bet... and a scout in forrest to snipe command vehicles in enemy territory with arty.

1). Infantry is a very strong defence against Armour... 4x infantry with weak at weapons will stop most tanks rather easy if they get close enough.. so use forests and buildings for your advantage, and remember to park to park a resupply vehicle in the area..
AA infantry are excellent at shooting enemy helicopters.

2). AA guns such as the "tunguska" or other with dual guns are fantastic... They dont have much range but really can ruin the day of any pilot if getting to near.. Remember you do not need to shoot down an enemy to be successfull... As long as the enemy do not drop his bombs and are scared away it is a partial success and damage done will take along time to repair.
Mix your AA.. example AA gun in front and a little back an AA sam site with missiles.

3). Tanks, well truth is I actual dont use my tanks that much.. The K1 tank in korea are great and can really ruing the day, but truth is you typical will loose your tanks to a plane attack and often you will now have problems.. Also the enemy have hundreds of cheap tanks.. Yes they are terrible tanks, but your super duper tank kan conly shoot example 5 times in 1 minute, while their example 20 tanks can shoot 3 times in 1 minute... just saying sometimes there are just to many enemy espeically in the campaigns.. ( especially in the last campaign they have like 100 tanks.
Best way to kill tanks are AT helicopters and bomb the ♥♥♥♥ out of them with dump freefall bombs by choosing to attack ground/point.

4). AT helis, are VERY good against enemy tanks... example 1 cobra come with 8 AT missiles and will destroy maybe 5-6 tanks before it fly and rearm... Remember to have mor than 1 farp if you plan to use helicopters they will such them dry fast. But the good thing is example they can fly out and kill an enemy T90 super tanks without the super tank can shoot down the heli.
Just saying use all things in the game for your advantage.
If using AT helis as your strategy, then make sure you have extra ammo support such as farp or transport helicopters with ammo ect.

5). Artellery.. well in general i think it is a bad tacktic to use artellery.... Only thing i use them for are to shoot at command vehicles that are hiding, or to drop smoke.
I sometimes have example 4 155mm guns for this purpose.
I never use the largest arty or MRLS, i think they use to much ammo and are not worth it.
OH i use art for counter sniping AA possitions or art possitions... so when they shoot i counter snipe them.. it is much less risky than sending in a plane behind enemy lies.
By the way you should consider using mortars as support near front lines.. Yes they do not damage that much, BUT they are fast to shoot and make the enemy panic, or even lay out smoke. Example put out smoke infront of your soldiers in building, then enemy tanks will advance though the smoke and now you are close and the inf can easy kill them.

6). Scouting is VERY important, and if you place a scout near example your AA guns or tanks then they become more efficient, example will target and shoot enemy faster the first time.
Also i always have scouts in forrests such as small jeeps or infantry... I then send them behind enemy lines and when i find a command vehicle i call in artellery... or if i spot art or AA i use artellery... Notise that when you can see something then your precission get much better with art.

7). Planes.. I love planes... Best advice is to send them 2 panes at a time, every time.
if someone shoot at you, then chances are much higher they only damage a plane and not shooting it down... reason are that typical the enemy target the target closest, and when you fly or turn then chances are they fire at both planes rather than concentrating fire only at one plane.

8). Costal ship combat.. On some maps if you park yuur navy near the coast you can use ships.... Ships are EXTREMLY good at killing stuff on land... so if you can, then use your ships to stop the enemy form crossing bridges and such things or shotting down planes.

About ship combat in campaign.. well it is really tough since your western ships are no match for the russian that will eat your raw..
My best advice kepe your ships together, and use helicopters or planes to kill ships.
If you have 8 helicopters each with 4x missiles and you fire everything at the same time at the enemy.. Then the largest most tough ship the russians have will not stand a chance and die.
That ist he way to take down thoug very nasty ships with 130mm guns.
When it come to the smaller ships, just kill with your ships..
ABout helicopters move a supply ship near a cost and land and rearm, and then go hun for ships that are traveling alone from a-b.

Ohh you have some small fast boats with hellfire on them, they are Extremly good ships.. the same goes with some old vietnam kind of ships they are slow but can stop an army and fire napalm at infantry... if you have like 2 ships advancing up river they will be a serious challenge for all bmp's and old tanks they meet... they ahve a big firepower. And if you place your FARP near the ocean or river then you can rearm again and again.. ;-)

Nice tips , i know them all.

The last campaing the modern.

maybe te first one too but i do not think, marines are not with new advace equipment.

American marines have also navy art ship. They have much more supplies and the damage is good, low fire rate. I use them to assault the North east navy port. block the russian to get support to seold. Why important. Because, helfire ships, napalm you can kill all very good art from the rusians/ MLR Rusian, the name i forgoten, they shoot napalm, nasty in hills and Seol so never let them come to there.

SD44 it is not possible, here you can outflank, The north Map , with river canyon. You can use the sas and French commando, with support american hell marin devision.

You sneauk outflank, with aslo a inf cv unit, drop it in the North east command field. THis is high value command , better enry good points, the first time you enter there you can caputre there FOB.
Becarefull support hellcopt, only after recon and with the atg inf take out the sam installation. Use enough sas for Flak inf. and The first wave from the enemy is air supp. and you must shot down there planes. You must react fast when airborne landing in the buses. hide your cv unit en hunt and recon theres and the region is yours and supplies en support comes in.
Send airborne troops, maybe 1 tank. some recon units, sas and atg inf. 1 command unit. or unload a transport hell and load with cv inf to transport north, they way always follow the riveer
Nortwest.

Why this tactic, otherwise the tanks rushes you can not hold and also there russion art. is too powerfull and to nearby it killed all your force.

airborne assualt is half your troops sneak from the left allong the river north first bridge east island.
The other groups is south east with some sas and atg in the houses to defend your airsupport zone.

A bit of cheating. With airborne landings. be very carefull you must caputere a CV entry Region.
Trick is evyr battlion of hellicopters enters the map from a diffrent side if possible and in range.
you can fly over enemy territory. So with that way you capture direct the entyr CV region. So often you stop for a while there Air support, Need with SU27 and mig 29 and more. May you lose terrein with counterattack. hold your ground always high income CV Region with airborne acces en land. Otherwise you are scredwed and eaten by manpower.

Also a bit cheating is bullet time. As in other post citiaat. you can resupply your squads. with a supply truck and squad not in combat. If squad is hurt you hop them to a house in background and he can reinforced when not in combat. so most time, best to do 2 -3 units so they can switch places.
